Stayed here to try out the hot cave and glacial plunge. Admission price was included with the room and included morning access strictly for hotel guests. Had a motel style room with two queen beds. Room was a nice size with a really nice shower (rainfall head) and fridge. Clean and quiet. They let us park our motorbikes under the canopy where the desk staff could watch them. Restaurant had good food (reservations recommended) and was reasonably priced for supper. No complimentary breakfast and, although the food was good, it was horribly overpriced for breakfast. We didn't look for a place to shop for groceries in Ainsworth just bit the bullet and paid the pricey amount for breakfast. If you are travelling as a family you might want to stock up on snacks, breakfast foods before your arrival. Cool place to stay for the hotsprings.

We're really glad you chose us for your hot springs cave experience and enjoyed your stay. The restaurant tries to provide something for everyone in a range of prices. Our bread and buns are fresh baked in-house. With complimentary coffee in the rooms and breakfast sides starting as low as $2.50, we feel that our menu prices are comparable with like venues. We realize that people often travel with snacks and small food items and have placed a little fridge in each of our guest rooms. Thank you for taking time to post your review. We enjoy the motorcycle traffic and see plenty of it in this lovely part of the world.

LOVED IT. Resort feel we were there in the off season ( May ) which is perfect because it's cheaper, super quiet at the resort and still cold outside so the warm water is AMAZING. It was great that you got to go directly to the hot springs from your room and that you got bathrobes to use. The food there was also great, reasonably priced for a resort with a spectacular dining staff. I highly recommend this if you're planning on going to the hot springs, otherwise it would probably be awkward and not nearly as enjoyable. Also a perk that the hot springs hours are extended for hotel guests. The staff was also super friendly and the caves were beautiful and much nicer than the fakeness of radium.

Thank you. It was our pleasure. We always enjoy hearing from our guests. We do offer some options for seasonal getaways. Winter roads are pretty good around here and room rates are lowest mid-week at that time.

It was a very nice stay,we had a Kingsize bed suite, This suite was just remodeled and look certaintly more nice that the halways. The meal at the dining room overlooking the pool was also very good. All personnal was very nice. It is nice to have the Hot Spring facility for the hotel gest for an hour in the morning. The Hot Spring with the pool at about 37C is very comfortable and the cave who is hotter is like a sauna is very fun to try for a few minutes. You can also try the cold stream!! We enjoyed the place and whish to had stay another night.

Room Tip: Ask for the kingsize suite

This was overall a great experience, except for the high price of the room. We visited the area in July, and because the location is off the beaten track, there was not very many people staying at the hotel or in the pool. The staff was fantastic and very accomodating in helping us find a place to store our very large trailer while we hoteled for a night. Food in the restaurant was very, very good and the serving staff excellent. The hot springs were beautiful, not overcrowded, and very clean. The caves where the hot water gushes from were amazing. The room we stayed in was beautiful, all updated, and very clean.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of Kootenay Lake.

Isn't it funny how "hot water" and hot weather seem to go together? July through September is peak season for us, even though the shoulder and winter seasons are probably the best times to visit. The recent renovation has opened up three great new room types to chose from. We're glad you enjoyed your stay with us. We look forward to a return visit.

We've been to many hotels with hot springs but, apart from the hotel itself, this was perhaps the best hotsprings we've ever been to! The caves are special and you can find just about any termperature here that you want from freezzing to unbearable.

Alas the rooms were a bit run down and quite dated but we manged to sleep well in spite of it.

Room Tip: Stay here for the hot springs. It's well worth the price albeit somewhat mediocre rooms.

We are happy that you enjoyed your hot springs experience. Our 41 guest rooms have just recently been completely renovated with some state of the art additions, including the Designer and Premium Suites....and with some recent improvements to the pool change rooms, we are ready to welcome guests for the summer season.

Worst Hotel staff in the world!! I came with 2 friends for a reunion, and we loved the Hotsprings...but STAY AWAY from the Hotel....One of my friends slipped and fell fight outside the door to the Hotel lobby, and hurt her self pretty bad...pierced her shin and scraped and bruised it badly...the staff were completely rude and incompetent, throwing a first aid kit at us (which had no ice pack) and in essence treated her as if she were a bother. When we asked to speak to the manager later to discuss our amazement at the behaviour, it was obvious that the trickle down theory works...she was awful! "It IS raining," she said, when I suggested she put up sign about the slippery front step!! After spending $180 on the springs and the restaurant, I will never ever step foot at that place again. Ainsworth MOTEL, just a two min wak away is where we stayed...nicest people, clean rooms (basic) just lovely. So if you want to soak in the springs...enjoy...but please dont give them any more business than that.

Room Tip: Ainsworth Motel...just steps away is EXCELLENT...basic, but very very clean and nicest owners ever!

Upon review of this incident, which was captured on CCTV, it has been determined that every effort was made to provide first aid in a timely manner. The area was well-lit and a staff member was able to respond immediately. Pain killers and alcohol cannot be administered with emergency treatment but are available on the premises.
