“Good & Friendly”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2013 via mobile

After reading some of the earlier reviews about the wonderful baked goods and poor staff attitudes we just had to stop by and see for ourselves. The place is small with quite a few customers when we were there but service was fast and friendly, with time for a bit of humour. Had 4 different baked goods between us and all were very good. Prices were reasonable for our items - the lunch prices on the board were maybe a bit high but nothing you wouldn't see in an urban centre for similar items. All in all a brief but pleasant experience.

“Celestial quality @ Celestial Sweets”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

Breads, sweet baked goods, sandwiches, soups ... all excellent: high quality, fresh ingredients, beautifully prepared & presented. Pleasure, always, to eat here or to take home. Only reason I'm not going all the way to a 5 rating is how expensive things are. E.g., a pre-wrapped sandwich with some veg & fruit is just under $10. Would be nice if there were some less expensive options (eg., a 1/2 sandwich, like at the equally high quality Cinnamon Bear 30 minutes down Hwy 3 in Coleman). But paying a little extra when you enjoy every bite is sure worth it, when you can afford it. Highly recommend trying Celestial Sweets.

“Great business lunch!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

A business trip was catered by this company recently. I was amazed at the quality of the baked goods- completely hand-made! A good variety of sandwiches, with catering to vegetarian diets.

“Snotty Staff and Owner - Good Food”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

Superior Food, but FOOD SNOBS - borderering on rude - numerous repeated rudness - I do not go there anymore. I think they need lessons in customer service. VERY VERY expensive for what is served, but they make good food.

“Great lunches, delicious baking!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2012

I'm a regular for lunch at Celestial Sweets, especially in the summer when the patio is open. This little bakery always has at least one soup and one hot lunch special, the latter ranging from panini sandwiches to quiche and chicken pot pie (served with green salad). Everything's made fresh and from scratch, often using organic ingredients. The soups are fantastic, the quiche and chicken pie also terrific. The baked goods are the best in town. The prices are high, but the food quality and friendliness add value. The tables fill up quickly most lunch-times. Due to staffing shortages typical of rural communities in the area, this place closes early (these days, by 3 pm) and isn't open on the weekend.
