“This isn,t 4 stars hotel”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2008

Room with sea view is Ok (large and clean) but bed was dirty. The hotel was new, but has been constructed carelessly. Fruits and vegetables in restaurant was delicious, meat, potatoes and specially wine and bear has been diluted. Wine is much better to buy in shop. Plates and plugs were constantly dirty at restaurant. There were only two evening performance in the evening in hotel. No animations no babysitters no playground (only small pool) for 2 years child. Weather was fine, Black sea's water was +27C, the beach wasn,t very clean. For me 3 stars hotel in Spain is much better than 4 stars hotel in Bulgaria. The hotel's staff speaks and understands only German's language very well. Others ... The country and Sunny Beach are good for rest, but in other hotel.

My partner and I went on holiday of May this year, it was the last week and so the season hadn't fully started, the hotel was lovely, weather was brilliant, just one shower on the sat morning and a fantastic thunder storm on the thurs night tho no rain with it amazing, food not too bad, though found it really strange being presented with Brussell Sprouts for BREAKFAST lol, there was also one morning green beans lol, we found this amusing. You can get the train just outside the complex which takes you to Nessebar, a must to visit, lovely and quaint in places, though you do get all the local restaurant owners/ waiters coming out to try and get you into their places to eat this can become very annoying when all you want to do is enjoy the sites. a fantastic walk if you have the energy, took us about 20 mins, do watch out for beggars though there are an awful lot of them on the side of the roads and will pester you for money. We found this more when we walked to Sunny Beach Central, this took us about 30 mins, again a lovely walk if you have the energy, if not then catch the train it only costs 3 levs and is worth it when you've done alot of shopping up there. We went all inc. and found this quite good, though do be careful when you settle any bills at the end of the week that you may occur, we were told we could phone our Rep from our room free of charge then had to pay 10levs when we settled because we had a couple of soft drinks out of the mini bar. They also tried to tell us we had a bottle of vodka which we didn't so be careful check it first. The prices on the mini bar not too bad overall. The Piano Bar which is attached to the hotel be careful you have to pay for your drinks, which we found out on our first night, it's very expensive. It cost us 28 Levs for 2 vodka and cokes which is about £12 in our money, We found communication very poor when we did eventually meet our Rep he wasn't very helpful, they weren't able to tell us what time we getting picked up on our last day and as we had to be out of the room by 12.00 we had a long day as our flight wasn't until late at night, they could do with being a bit more organized on that side of things. We did find out though that they will do a curtesy room free of charge if you want to take a shower, but you have to book first thing on the morning of your departure. There's no entertainment in the hotel this is something they could do with having, though there is a very good pub just up from the hotel John Smiths Bar, karaoke every night friendly staff. Worth a visit.

  • Liked — the room was always clean and we were given clean towels every day
  • Disliked — the fact you had to pay for a safety deposit box whenyou're all inc.
