“Good hotel for the money you pay for it”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2013

The price is realy low for this hotel. But for that money you get what you pay for.
It is clean, good food, maybe they have some lack of staff but it`s ok.

The point with this hotel (but maybe just when i was there it was like that) i have seen a lot of young people, realy young, under 20. And there was some noise because of that, but not in the rooms at night time.... so i think you should be happy with this hotel.

We stayed here at the Victoria palace sept 2012. It was our first holiday abroad and my husband decided on Bulgaria for our honeymoon, so I chose hotel. Hotel is very grand looking although could do with renovations. Never used the pool as it was late sept. we stayed b&b although only ate once in hotel, cheap enough to eat out in Bulgaria so would never recommend ai in Bulgaria. Staff at hotel were very helpful, on arrival our room was on the corner with a walkway of a balcony so we asked to get moved and was moved to another room with a fantastic view of the mountains. Cleaner was in daily with clean towels etc. our holiday rep Elizabeth was fantastic she could not have been more helpful (I had flu while there and she helped get medication etc). Have no complaints at all with the staff although the bellboy who took our cases stood and waited for a tip, we had no change so he said I will give you change then wanted a 10leva tip. We are returning to Bulgaria again this summer although staying elsewhere with our children. We went to khans tent one evening, fantastic entertainment. We were also told a visit to old nessebar is a must so we took the bus over for 1 leva each, while there we were bothered a bit by gypsys trying to sell me jewellery, we got the ferry boat back for 10 Leva each that was a brilliant trip back to sunny beach with fantastic scenery. Looking forward to returning and visiting the aqua parks.

The brochure pictures look fantastic and overall our stay was ok.

Stayed with two kids (single parent dad), food was average and hot water in the afternoon was a bit hit or miss depending on the time, as most people left the pool about 1600hrs for a siesta and get ready for the night. Rooms, bedding etc acceptable. This is a large hotel and service could be better, so dont have high expectactions, lower them and you won't be disappointed.

Got the boat over to the island for a little look around and this was ok for a half day out, it is nothing special thought.

For me, Sunny beach is a bit like Blackpool, with only the strip to walk up and down.

If you are looking for something more than a Blackpool experience go elswhere.

as others have already said the building looks grand and the location is superb right on the beach and central to everything in the area you could want. However the decor is tacky and done on the cheap though drinks at the hotel are expensive. Staff must be paid peanuts as it's true they are very miserable and some rude.
Food was disgusting it's much better to go B&B in Sunny Beach as there are plenty of cheap eateries around of all cuisines. The beach is lovely and though the area is a bit grotty in places generally it's okay. Weather fantastic as are beach bars with 2 for 1 cocktail offers sooo cheap.
Go to Nessebar for a day or two just a short, cheap bus journey away.

It does look lovely, but the hotel really isnt.
Great location, but choose a different hotel.
We read bad reviews before goin, wish i listened to them.
me 21 and my partner 23 went all inclusive for 2 weeks, putting it simple...
Staff -- Rudest people ive ever met in my life, cant beleave they are allowed to work with tourists. wen arrived, coz i didnt wana wait 45mins for my bag to be taken to my room, as was 3am and wanted to get into pj's and go to bed, i just went to take them with us on the way to our room, a bell boy snatched them from my hand, and wouldnt let me, i refused, shocked how he acted, and then they wouldnt tell us where to go in this huge place, asked what floor and he justy moaned and said this is why we take bags and walked off (even though we needed to know to get to our rooms ourself regardless the bags!) and when then a different bell boy closed the elevator on me! whilst i was half way in i saw him press the close button just coz he couldnt earn a tip. they never smiled. never helpful,
didnt see rep once,
no entertainment watso ever and we went in auguast!!
tiles loose in pool a lot of poeple cut themselves includin my bf.
Food was discusting, im not picky and know what to expect with all inclusive but it was awful, cold, no choices, same every day lunch and dinner, breakfast was ok but unless u got there early you wont get any fried eggs. always empty trays, waiting half hr to replace, tables always dirty.
drinks ha! most of the stay they ran out of different alchol each day. one day no water!!
sunbeds, forget it unless you get up at 6am.
hated going to the toilet in the hotel as the maids and cleaners are so nasty and mean and makes you feel uncomfotable. no staff smiled, bar tenders keep u waitin for ages while they chat to each other.
only good thing was rooms were ok, beds and view nice, shower fine, tv good, but didnt spend much time in the rooms so.. but you have to steal toilet rolls and towels as maid is useless and rude and barged right in one day when i was in the shower!

just awful, honestly do not go.

choose either of the hotels next door they seemt lovely and fun!
hotel evrika or helena hotel i think they were called.

Its a shame, a stunning hotel. right on the beach, looks beautiful from the outside. But the reality is the staff are extremely rude! Especially the bar men. The food was atrocious and inedible. We had to ask 6 times for the cleaners to bring more toilet roll to our rooms! I won't be in a rush to go back.

We stayed at the Victoria Palace in April last year and i wasnt dissappointed! Once we had booked I was dubious about what it would be like as i had read some bad reviews, but the hotel was fantastic. The hotel is sutuated slap bang on the promenade overlooking the sea, everything you need is in close proximity. The room was spacious and very clean and nicely decorated for the price we paid, and maids came almost every day to tidy round and give fresh towels. We had a sea view room with a balcony which gave us a great view of the coast and strip.
The food included with our all inclusive package was also of a very good standard, the dining area is very large and fresh food was out as soon as a tray became half empty!
The pool was also extremely clen and well maintained. I would most definateley reccommend the hotel to anyone thinking of going!
