“Excellent meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2012 via mobile

The food was really tasty and good value the staff were pleasant and it was in a lovely part of the resort, what more do people want there aren't many Indian restaurants in sunny bay so finding a decent one is worth the review.

“Excellent!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2012

had a lovely meal, after looking for days for a decent indian we found this little gem. we had the chicken and beef curries with garlic and spicy nan breads and rice. everything was cooked to perfection.

after this we popped by as many times as we could, having everything from the bombay breakfast which was really nice, if not too big, in portion size. but rather big than small. we also had pizzas and burgers which were also made well. this holiday was made better by this restaurant, and was a nice environment for kids in the play area and the nice location on the main strip but close enough to the hustle and bustle.

we stayed in vlas and got on the number 5 or number 8 busses which took us in to town for cheap, and pass by the bombay. we would get a wave from the hosts as we went by as our faces became very familiar :)

“a nice surprise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2012

I liked the place very much, because in Sunny beach there are a lot of restaurants, but the good ones are hard to find. Bombay grill was an unexpected surprise for me and my friends. The waiter was pretty pleasant and talkative, he helped us pick suitable meals, he seated us in a nice table. The cuisine was very good. I saw they had Bulgarian dishes too, so no worries if you are not a fan of the Indian food.

“Bland and tasteless”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

Having read the reviews of this restaurant we went for a meal half way through our holiday. We’re Indian and it had been a week since we had our last curry so we were looking forward to it.

We had a couple of Cobra beers for and the kids had some milkshakes. For starters we had two popadoms which came with a bowl of “spicy” onions, Chicken Tikka and Chicken wings. We asked for some mint and mango sauce which they were happy to give us. The chicken starters were nice but not very spicy at all I’d say less than mild so we asked for some green chillies which they provided too. By the time we ate the chicken starters there was half a popadom left which was stale which I found very strange.

So for a main course we had Chicken Karai, Chicken Biryani and nann with butter. This time we asked that it was made spicy. So the Chicken Karai came out but again it was very mild so off they went to make it spicy but by the time it came back the Naan was cold . We finally started eating this and realized that the sauce hand chicken had been cooked separately because the chicken just tasted bland. The chicken biryani, I must say the sauce was very nice and spicy however the rice was very poor and it had almonds and sultana, it really seemed like it was reheated and not cooked and again the chicken pieces were tasteless literally just boiled. BTW naan when warm was freshly cooked and tasted nice.

The meal had cost over £40 and I was charged extra for mango chutney, mint sauce and chilies, so on the way out I spoke to one of the Bangladeshi workers and said if you sold food like this back in the subcontinent you would get pelted and to my surprise he agreed.

I don’t think I need to say anymore apart from advising people to avoid at all costs.
