We went from 22nd May until 5th June. At the start of the holiday the hotel was fairly empty and there were no children so it was lovely and quiet- you could get the pool to yourself to do a few lengths and ther was no problem getting an early night. The apartment was large with two balconies- we got the sun from about 10am until 2pm- I don't think any of the balconies got much more sun than that. The bathroom was fine with a decent shower. The kitchen was probably the main reason I didn't give 5 stars- good size fridge and you get plenty of glasses and crockery, however actually cooking a meal is difficult- no tea towel and only one pot (with two handles so it's difficult to drain veg, and they get hot).
The staff were friendly but English not great.
Good poolside bar- glass of wine 3.7 Leva, large draft beer 2.20 Leva (I think).
The second week it started to get busier- the second pool opened and although more people can make a nice atmosphere, with this brought noise- there appears to be no sound insulation between apartments!
We picked it for the location as you can walk to either Sunny Beach or Nessebar, that said it is about 40 mins to centre of Sunny Beach and likewise to Old Nessebar.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY!!! this hotel didnt look much from the out side, infact i didnt want to go in, But- we were in the second block, top floor and the appartment was clean well kept and looked brand new. sheets changed every other day, towels daily and cleaned daily. could not fault room at all.
the pool - cleaned daily plus cleaners kept coming round picking up. 2 pool plus little pool for kids.
bar - the staff were great, 1 lev a pint!! coke 1.20. meal were nice got to try the bacon and egg sandwiches- about 10 lev ( £4.50 ish). bar stayed open as long as people were drinking, and a small tip 1 lev or so helped! couldnt of asked for a nicer hotel. clean tidy and freindly. BUT DONT BREAK ANYTHING OR YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR IT WHEN LEAVING, AND YES THEY COUNT THE GLASSES IN THE ROOM AND IF ONE MISING YOU HAVE TO PAY.
when eating out, try hotel next door, and the condor - turn left keep walking to 20 mins or get train down.
this hotel in not in the middle of it all. but 20 mins walk or train either way and then you are in the centre of sunny beach or old town. both lovely places.
temp was in high 40s at end july, which makes it a bit hard walking round, and always have flipflops on as sand burns your feet. would say that hotel sould be 3/4 star as appartments are fab!!!! fidge/freezer, free air con in bedrooms, iron, kettle mircowave which can toast. shops near by. pubs close. only thing is the road out side is busy to cross!! or water park was good, scary slides! and watch some of the paths.

We stayed at this hotel for a week in august for our summer holidays. The hotel looked exaclty like it does in the photographs and we were pleased with the quality. The rooms are a decent size and are very clean.
The food overall at the hotel was very good. In the evenings there were various choice of salads and meat dishes. None of the dishes were repeated whilst we were there which meant we weren't eating the same thing every night. The hotel is a bit far from downtown but near the beach.
There is a lot to do in the resort and plenty of entertainment organised.
We made plenty of friends during our holiday and are hoping to go back with them next year. We would choose this hotel again without a doubt. Overall an absolutely amazing holiday.

We stayed in the Rose Village Apartments for 2 weeks in August. We had a lovely 2 bedroom apartment overlooking the main road. We were rather worried when we realised that we were overlooking the road as some of the other comments on this forum had said it was very noisy. We didn't find the noise a problem, once the doors were shut at night you couldn't hear the traffic, in fact the traffic provided us with entertainment during the evenings as the locals drive very fast, creating 4 lanes from only 2 lanes and yet there were no accidents. Crossing the roads took a bit of getting use to and was quite scary but we survived.
The pools were lovely and clean, if you wanted a sunbed though you had to be down by 8.00 or else you were met by towel-covered sunbeds but not a body in sight.
The food in the hotel was very reasonable and freshly cooked and the staff were very helpful.
The beach was very busy and there was a rope laid approx. 3ft from the waters edge, you can sit between the rope and the sea for free (if you can find a space) but you cannot lay down in case you fall asleep and become a liability for the lifeguards. The sea wasn't very clean but I'm led to believe that this is because the sea temperature was so high (30 degrees) which causes more seaweed....?
A visit to Old Nessebar is a must, we went there 4 times! We also went on an Off-Road Safari, Pirate Cruise and Wine Tasting, all of which I would definately recommend.
We made friends with lots of other holiday makers and we've already booked to go back again next year.

One bad thing at first is that we could not locate the reception! if you go through the double gates it's on your left. There is no sign, and as per usual, the transfer reps do not take you inside.
On the whole, it's a very clean place and the staff are lovely.
Our room A52 was fantastic - it was huge! one bedroom apartment with two balconies that looked out on to the main road but it was a sea view though!.The traffic could be noisy but it depends if you're used to sleeping on a main road (we aren't, so we slightly struggled). It's only got air con in the bedroom which could be a problem in boiling summer, but we were find in September.Sometimes it was a little bit noisey but that was because one night it was so windy one night. TV had a mixture of English, German and Bulgarian.
The cleaners came everyday we were there! They changed the linen every 3-4 days and were really nice, even though they did not speak much english.
The hotel staff were lovely, the receptionists had brilliant english and so did the restaurant staff.I read a review that this place is full of cockraoches and so is Nessebar (which the apartment is very close to). I think this guy was in a different country because we did not see ONE during two weeks which i was extremely grateful for! Make sure you wear Mosquito protection though! there's quite a few hundred or so lol and you don't want to be bitten. In the restaurant because it was outside, there were unfortunately some wasps flying around which was annoying but nothing you can do about - in fact there were a few in Sunny Beach in general.
the location isn't quite the best, as it's the first drop off from the airport and very close to Nessebar. To get into the centre you need to cross the road and head left and it's roughly a mile before you get there.Good exercise though! So if you have walking difficulties, make sure you're closer to the centre but the hotel has full disabled access.
The food can vary all over Sunny Beach, some can be crap but some can be lovely! They like pork, cheese and mushrooms by the looks of it! They don't tend to have many beef steaks, more veal. The best places we ate were the Serbian Grill (straight opposite hotel) Mexican (very close to hotel, slightly to left) and Italian (stick on left hand side of road and walk about 5-10 mins.
Do not get into a taxi they will rip you off! get on a bus or walk. If you change your money, only go to somewhere it says Crown or a bank.
We went with Balkan Holidays and they were fantastic - our rep was great, always there when she said. Balka holidays employees are nearly all Bulgarian with amazing English.
you have to pay on beach but it's not much.

Go to Nessebar the old town it's great! everything is so cheap with the lev!

Stayed at hotel with 2 adults 3 children aged 4,6 & 14. Enjoyed our stay and will return to Bulgaria next year but will find a hotel closer to the resort of sunny beach not right in the main part but come the evenings all hotels in the near area have no entertainment so a good 20 minutes walk to any bars with something on is okay if not with younger children but would be nicer to be nearer. Who ever advised the Mexico Bar and John Smiths pub are mad. Raw chicken curry uneatable in the Mexico bar and over priced in John Smiths bar and nothing special. Come out of hotel over main round is a busy road but they do stop to let you cross sometimes, beach is straight on. Once over the road then go left before the Mexico bar is a large hotel down a little side alley is a Pepsi Bar Grill where the food is very good and the man and lady are very nice and reasonably priced 5 could eat for about 45 & 60 Lev depending on dinner or lunch around £20 and £30 best for the local area. Old Nessebar is lovely eat in The Anchor fillet steak is perfect cost around £8 then cheaper meals available good for all kinds of shopping and sightseeing. In Sunny Beach main area DJannys is very nice and good value. Lots of shops and bars .Did not see any pickpockets but like anywhere you have to be reasonably careful and sensible with your belongings.
Around the hotel drinks are okay but if you go to the supermarket as you turn to the right you come out the front is cheaper for drinks which we then took round the pool and drunk. Food in hotel is not good quite revolting but the people are friendly as long as you smile and speak to them had no problems with anybody out there. Met a nice couple with 3 teenage girls from Bolton and between us we would have to try and grab the sunbeds that was the only problem sometimes we dragged them round from the smaller pool. If you put towels down you have to stay with them. Cleaners always smiled and were not intrusive and touched nothing it is a nice hotel just a shame about the evenings a bit to quiet. Also went to Sunny Beach water park didnt know there was one in Nessebar was good fun but the one in Nessebar looks bigger will go there next time. Overall we did have a great time and I think this was helped by the people we met. Balkan rep not very friendly Elizabeth was her name I had no dealing with her but my friend did not have a good encounter with her very rude and agressive.
