“hotel lovely, location and staff soso”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2010

i paid just over £600 for 2weeks B&B...okay so il start with hotel itself....iv bn in hotel rooms in greece, spain and marmaris, an this hotel is by far the most "hotel" feeling room,if u get me...?? it was carpeted!! and double, even tho it was 2 girls...but we didnt mind...wasnt too small, a nice size, comfortable bed with tv, small fridge and hairdryer which was good and enough wardrobe space. also air con is free which is a huge bonus, and it was very powerful! bathroom big enough and bright and great powerful shower, we also had view of the pool. so thats the good point...

pool is rather small, not enough sun loungers so we went to the beach everyday, area around pool was tight so u had to watch when walking coz it was constantly wet...but it was clean.

staff....ppfft, if u can call them that. not very friendly, now i dnt want to become best friends with then, but common curtousey and friendliness wouldnt go a miss. i ordered chips one day and she didnt have the 3lev changed she owed me, she would give it bk later, but i had to ask her the nx day, and she tried to say it was 2 lev, now i know its not much diff, but its the principle. the chips, not the worst, but i asked for salt and vinegar and she gave me a condiment set which was from the 1970s and dirty, wasnt impressed. oh and when i think about it, we werent offered help with our suitcases up 4 flights of stairs?? by a man!!

cleaners lovely, more friendly than the staff...in room everyday...i think the bedding was changed once and towels 3 times...in 2 weeks...

location, soso. shops nearby, djanny resteraunt 5 mins (which was always busy, dnt know why, we ate there n it was just full of fat!) and a further 5-10 min to beach and flower street (the main street with pubs, restaraunts and come clubs...)

oh, and this was meant to be club 18-30, even tho there was to be no noise after 12 and outside guests were charged (if u were bringing someone bk), so if ur looking for a fun, nonstop party hol, dnt use this hotel. there were also a lot of germans at this hotel, and bn small, u coulnt really miss them, and they always blagged the sun loungers at like 7 in the morn lol, so if ur not into mixing with them, then id stay clear also...

for places to eat...mamacitas - mexican on flower st, omg, thee best nachos!!
red lion, near the mall, does lovely sunday lunch
fast food opp burger king - thee best baked potatoes and chicken kebabs..
(yeah, we put on weight!!)

places to go...amora - club and entry is free and free to pee....
revolution - club, free entry for girls b4 midnight, but 1 lev to pee

if u like a guiness and the irish, whacky paddys, not the most popular pub, but staff r great, drinks great and they have a live band who are great on every nyt...its rather hard to find tho..its nx to neptune hotel, but the beach facing side, and downstairs..iv pure rabbled on...lol..sorry x

The bahami is located just round the corner from Djanny's restaurant, opposite the L&B hotel. It's quite modern, with hotels still being built around it. Shop just down the road.
The staff were very friendly, although english wasn't fanatstic. They put us in the wrong rooms to start with as we turned up very late/early morning, but then let us chose which rooms we wanted the next day which was good, had a guided tour.
Twin rooms had two single beds, sofa, balcony, fridge, ensuite bathroom, tv.
We paid 470lv for a twin room, £235 for a week between two people - £33 a night which was great.
5 minute walk to the main strip, 10 min to beach.
Rooms are nice and modern with a fridge, powerful air con, television with some english speaking channels, but no tea/coffee making facilities. Air con is free.
Safety deposit box was 30 lv for the week.
If you decide to bring "outside guests" back to the hotel then be prepared to pay a charge.
We asked the manager for a taxi number and he offered us a lift for much less than the 140lv two separate taxis quoted us - (unsure whether this was legal, but was a great help to us).
Bar is reasonably priced for drinks etc. However, did not try the breakfast as I wasn't up in time.
Only issue - whilst a cleaner came in and tidied up/cleaned each day, the sheets weren't changed all week! This was apparently just hotel policy. If you can put up with this then it's ok.
Let me know if you have any further questions and I'll be glad to help.
