Excellent hotel and great service , as you go in you are greeted with little warm towels , as u do!Our room was facing towards the beach but not the hotels private beach but it was still a nice view.
There is always someone opening the door for you as you walk in and out and if u decide to take a VIP tour which you can get from a desk next to reception, someone always opens the car door, wearing a pith helmet!!
The beach looked great but at this time of year the waves were too bad that we were advised not to even go anywhere near the water although there was a lifeguard with a full uniform (including shoes and socks) which i found odd
Be sure to eat in the buba seafood restaurant their prices are much lower than the hotel and the food is great, however if you walk there at night i would advise you to wear shoes as the beach is fulll of crabs.!!
The VIP tours desk do great trips and i would recommend the one in Dambulla and Sigiriya, but make sure you stay the night as it will be less tiring that way , and the perfect hotel is kandalama. It is expensive but its worth it, ever so often a monkey comes to greet you in the balcony!!
