“Brand new equipment”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2013

Everything is brand new and real good equipment.
The guids are quite new to the spots so it's not really ceommended to go there for absolute beginners, but they know where to find what wreck and there a really a lot of nice spots near by.
Everyone on the base is really 100% friendly and trys to help wherever possible.
Have fun!

“Great Diving in Negombo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013

Had a great time Diving in Negombo diving with Sherik and his father. They are very experienced regarding the dives sites, and provide a safe and fun environment for diving. Enjoyed the time spent diving and also after dives, just chilling at the dive center. Thanks. Will definitely return.

“Awesome Company. Safe Diving.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

Colombo Divers - Negombo Dive Centre (located near the Jetwing Blue)
You can't ask for a lovelier crew to look after you. There was James, who has only been in Sri Lanka for about 3 months, is super strict about safety. There was also Vincent whom I call the Dive Director is an expert of where to dive at. Last but not least, Sherik the dive master who is the best person to ask for anything you need or want in Negombo. You need to rent a bike, ask Sherik. You want to buy cinnamon, ask Sherik. You want to know where to get good food, ask Sherik. You get my drift. These guys made diving safe & enjoyable. They are so nice to be around - under water, in the boat, having dinner together & even just in the dive shop watching the sun set.

Thank you for your kind review on behalf of myself, Sherik and Vincent. The comments will be passed on to them both and I am sure they will be met with a true Sri Lankan smile. Come back any time you wish Amanda, you and Paul seemed to fit right in with the relaxed atmosphere here.

“A small but good diving centre”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2012

I have done diving at both the Mt. Lavinia centre and the Negombo one.

Both have been great experiences. The instructors are internationally recruited rather than native Sri Lankans which usually helps against the language barrier as the native english can be pretty rough for detail-oriented communication such as diving. But both the crazy and lovely bulgarians I got my Open Water Diver License under and the englishman who supervised my way to adventure diver have been easy to deal with, professional and generally nice people.

The dive centres are small and simple but the gear has been good. No problems there.

The only problems I've had diving in Sri Lanka has been one or two turns of bad visibility (weather, nothing to do about that) or personal issues like seasickness or a pesistent cold.

I've had very good experiences on my dives with Colombo Divers and they have always been flexible and service-oriented. They will get you sorted even when you're short on time.
