We had clipped an article (Feb 10, 06 New York Times) on Grand Forks because we knew we'd come there on our way to Winnipeg this September. The article's author spent 36 hours in Grand Forks and highly recommended Sanders 1907 ("named after Sander Johnson who built the original warehouse in 1907"). There is so much to see inside Sanders, you could easily spend an evening looking around at everything in the room and at the splendid bar and listening to the music---but then you'd miss the food, which is exceptional. Beyond exceptional. So is the service. Our only objection to Sanders is that it's not in our home town.
