We have all your favorite dishes from Italian restaurants and Greek restaurants along with pizza that is voted best in town year after year. Of course everything on the menu is a little better with a glass of wine. Not only are we a great place for dinner with the family, we can also host your next event in our free banquet room. “Not so great”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2013

The place is beautiful but I came to eat. We ordered saganaki and gyros. The saganaki was burnt and the waitress tried to explain that it was suppose to be that way. It was black burnt, not slightly over done. She was pleasant as she replaced the order. The gyro was forgettable. The waitress was very sweet after the mishap and made sure the rest of the dinner was OK. However, there is no compensation for good food and there was no good food in sight.

Garlic cheese bread was the only good thing on the table. We won't be back.

Dear not so great.. In reading your other reviews I can see you are a bit unhappy with most of your dining experiences. That is a shame because making you happy seems like its impossible. That aside please let me first apologize that we did not meet your expectations. I am the owner and was at Santa Lucia on the date you are writing your review on. I had seen the saganaki flambee come back after you said it was burnt, we remade it immediately, and then you ate it all. This is the reason we felt you should pay for it. You ask for compensation? We are not sure why? Next you say our gyros are forgettable? This is news to me.. You ate the whole sandwich? I don't quite understand your complaint? We pride ourselves and work hard to WOW our customers, this is a shocking review to be honest... We even go to the extent of making our own Tzatziki from scratch! Nobody here in Fargo can claim this. Our gyros are served to hundreds of people across the USA and have won us awards, again I sincerely do apologize we did not meet your expectations and hope you do come in again when in Fargo, and please do ask for me....I would love to share a glass of wine with you and talk in person

“Greek restaurant starting to decline”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013 via mobile

On a recent stay in Fargo, my daughter and I stopped in at Santa Lucia's for a couple of their gyros. They were not up to par. We frequent this restaurant many times a year simply to enjoy the only greek restaurant within a 200 mile radius of our home. Over the last year we have noticed a decline in the overall quality of the food. Homemade fries....num....but without seasoning on them....not so nummy. Soft warm pita bread....num.....cold gummy pita bread....not so nummy. Greek salad with a fresh lemon oregano vinaigrette....num.....greek salad with a pre-made bottled dressing....not so nummy. Fresh and properly seasoned food is an absolute necessity for ANY restaurant to succeed! Please Santa Lucia, re-commit yourselves to the higher standard you once had!

Dear madam, hello and thank you for taking the te to write about santa lucia. Please understand.. We actually do make our greek salad dressing in house with only the best ingredients.. Next you speak of our fries having no flavor.. We hand cut then blanch and finally deep fry.. We do put a tiny bit of salt however. The reason we do this is for health reasons.. We are a medditeranian kitchen who boast healthy dining. Most of our customers depend on us offering a healthy alternative to dining out. It is unfortunate that most establishments overpower the food they serve with chemically enhanced chemicals which do indeed taste good but are poison to the body.. I try to educate our customers. As for the gyros.. I can understand and sincerely apologies for a soggy pita, the chef preparing must have not grilled it to your liking.. This however can be avoided by you simply stating that you like your pita a bit well done.. We make to order allowing our customers to get it cooked the way they like it. We even prepare our tzatziki in house which is a rarety in this day and age. I apologies once again and do hope you give us another try with your specifications.. Please ask server to tell chefs that you like extra seasonings as well as a well done pita.. Thank you and gods speed to you and yours

“Great value Great food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

This is our second time to this restaurant. And both times we weren't disappointed. With connections to our home province of Manitoba we wondered how the quality and service would be. I'd say its better. Service was personnable, friendly and accomodating to our requests. Food was good and well prepared. Selection is good. Overall excellent value. We would return again.
