“Dirty room with musty mold smell”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

We reserved a pet friendly room , as we have always had nice clean rooms at other hotels, but the pet friendly rooms here are very dirty, even my dog was having a hard time with the smell. The biggest problem was our air conditioner had a nasty mold and musty smell, we woke up in the night to open our window which faced a loud busy road. This made for a VERY restless night! On day two we reported the problem to the front desk and were moved to a different room which turned out to have the same problems. We also tried to swim in the pool but it was so hot and stuffy in the pool area, no air conditioning or fans and the hot tub was disgustingly dirty.
I reported the problem at checkout time but was pretty much shrugged off. I can't believe this hotel can keep the Days Inn name, I thought they had higher standards? We won't be back.

For the most part the room was clean and ready. The door knob was stripped, which possed a problem getting into the room. We had to keep leaving the door slightly open (unsecure) so we could get back in the room. We notified the desk, but it sounded like it was going to take awhile to get it repaired.

The hotel is in a great location right off of the highway. We were put in a room that the door does not shut all the way, there were locks on the door, but anytime someone else shut their door, it would shake/vibrate the room very loudly. We were so exhausted from the trip that we just went to bed. In the morning, we asked to change rooms and they changed our room for us, so that was nice! The queen rooms look big online, but they are kind of small. There is a bit of a mold issue in the shower/tub region. Now, this is an eco-friendly hotel, so keep in mind that the sheets are only changed every 3 days. But, if you ask them, they will change them every day. Cleaning everyday, the just took out the trash and gave clean towels. But they did not vacuum or clean the shower. I heard them in the room next to us vacuuming?! The radiator in our room would not shut off. The maintenance man could not shut it off, he was new there and working on it. But the A/C compensated for it. Patrice makes the best hot breakfast! Kristi was a really nice staff member! Overall, the stay was nice. People at the front desk at all hours were very friendly!
