“Great new place”

First trip won't be last
Ordered filet and it was fantastic
Can't wait to go back. The atmosphere was good, it's nice when they use old buildings.

“Good place to gather with friends”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013

Went to eat at this restaurant/bar while in Bismarck. Had a short wait to be seated but were able to sit at the bar while we waited. We had the Fried Cheesy Pickles and the Walleye Fingers for appetizers. The cheesy pickles were good but the walleye fingers overcooked and dry. I had the special of lemon snapper served with rice and a soy sauce. It was very good, and the fish was moist, not overcooked. Another diner had the fish tacos and they were also very good. Another person had the special pasta and chicken special and that was tasty as well. The wine selection was very good as was the beer. Service was fast and good. Everyone in our party had a good time.

“Eclectic and Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2013

My wife and I tried The Toasted Frog during a recent visit to Bismarck based on Trip Advisor reviews. It's an eclectic restaurant and bar and we were fortunate to sit at a window table in the front of the restaurant. Although it was a Monday, the long bar was filled with mostly 20-somethings early in the evening as Monday Night football started. Despite the good crowd, it was easy to carry on a normal dinner conversation .

The menu is varied with standard and unusual appetizers, lavosh and wood fired pizzas. Of course, as the name implies, there are also fried frog legs if you feel like trying something other than chicken wings. The place is clean and well maintained with an off-beat neighborhood bar kind of atmosphere.

My wife and I split the Spinach Salad which was very good - and more than enough - despite having a little-too-much red raspberry wine vin for our taste. We recommend ordering the salad dressing on the side. My tried the Mahi-Mahi and I had the New York Strip. Both were good - but not outstanding.

Extensive beer selection and a good choice of wines - both at reasonable prices.

The service was excellent and we enjoyed our entire experience.

“After work dinner”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

I never been to the toasted frog before and the guys at work said it was good. They said the chicken wings were really good but they were average. The service was good and we got the food right away. I had the walleye basket and it was ok. I did not like the flavor. This place is pretty spendy.
