“Good price for the $. But beware..”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2012 via mobile

Booked this trip for a scouting trip to relocate. Previous reviews are true - depends on what suite you get. 205 was nicely decorated and the views are great! Huge balcony from the bedroom and living area. Pool is clean and well kept. Staff is pleasant.
For the Bewares-
Very, very basic kitchen. Two burner stove( one not working) and microwave. No measuring cup or pot holders, either! So, it's not a 'complete' kitchen as advertised. Ice machine is around the corner- which is convenient. LOTS of traffic and noise from people going to the beach and being directly across from the Oceanic. The Oceanic is, however, respectful of the noise and does not dump their bottles after 10 pm. Thank You!
So, if u plan on simple breakfast and lunches - do stay here, but sstay for the view, not the amenities.

I've stayed at the Sandpeddler on numerous occasions for the past several years and have ALWAYS received top-notch service from a friendly staff, a clean suite and a fair price. I would chalk the previous review up to the "one in every crowd..."

Very misleading description of this facility. Run down, dirty, basic things like lights not working, fans unable to be used because they were so noisy, giant holes in the blanket(bowling ball size), doors did not lock(broken), parts of basic furniture missing(glass table top) curtains in shreds, bath towels frayed on the edges and no one even attempted to trim them. Such joy for $200US$ per nite...

We stayed here on a college visiting trip and enjoyed it. It feels a bit "motel-y" but was still nice. We were on the corner across from the Oceanic restaurant and it was a bit loud because we were there on a Saturday night and the comings and goings at the restaurant, the singer performing on the pier as well as them emptying their recycling all night could have bothered those sensitive to noise. But my daughter loved the action. It's a super easy walk over to the beach which is the source of surf contests and much excitement. The only odd thing was the bedroom window opened onto the walkway to all the rooms, so if you needed to have the windows open, it might have been strange - not so private. But there was AC so on hot nights, it wouldn't be a problem.

Room Tip: If you want to have quiet, ask to be as far away from the Oceanic Restaurant and pool as possible...

My daughter is going to UNCW and I found a great place to stay when I go visit her. The Sandpeddler is a small hotel of individually owned condos only 15 mins from campus AT THE BEACH!! It is on the quiet end of the island across from the Oceanic restaurant. The units are bright, clean and nicely decorated. Corner units 105, 205 and 305 are larger sf, better views, larger balconies and extra windows. Off season prices make it a great place for visiting during the school year.

Room Tip: Third floor has the best views and units 105, 205 and 305 are best views.

Very pleasant surprise. Our condo was nice and clean. Had everything we needed for a comfy stay. Great view of the beach. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would certainly stay again and reccomend staying here.

Room Tip: ours was on the 3rd floor (304) looks like all on the 3rd floor would have a good view of the ocean.

Went to Wrightsville Beach to begin our tour of the Crystal Coast. We left with no reservations and used trip advisor along the way to pick places to stay and food. I want to start by saying I prefer nice hotels and usually avoid Motels as a general rule. This place was fantastic, comfortable and great view of the ocean across from The Oceanic Restaurant. I wish we could have stayed longer but we we only there for two days for our tour up the coast. Clean. Staff was EXTREMELY helpful and friendly. Great amenities. Lots of room. More like a condo than a motel. Stayed on second floor. Only complaint was someone in room next to us would get up to smoke on the balcony every couple hours overnight and when he did the smoke came into the room and woke me. My issue, I could have closed the door but wanted to hear the ocean.
