“Don't leave W-S without stopping here first!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

Finnigan's Wake has a great atmosphere and a charming interior. It's easy to forget that you are in downtown Winston-Salem when you're inside. They have decent drink specials and excellent food. I highly recommend the Lamb Burger. I don't often eat meat, but for whatever reason I ordered a lamb burger while I was here and it was amazing. I have yet to be with someone who didn't love the food they ordered from here. The staff is always really nice, we've only had one experience with a server who was less than friendly, but that was on a Friday night. Be sure to eat here at least once before you leave the Winston-Salem area!

“Amazing food and drink after a long day of driving!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013 via mobile

This will definitely be a must stop the next time we are in Winston-Salem on our way to Myrtle Beach! The food was amazing and we had a phenomenal server who happened to be from Michigan like us ! We will definitely be back to try more options on the menu that we couldn't try this time!

“Irish Breakfast not so Irish.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

Stopped in there for brunch this morning after seeing that they do an 'Irishman's Breakfast'. Pretty disappointing really, the Irish sausage (1) looked anemic (but tasted OK), but the 'Irish Bacon', was just thick-cut American bacon (1 rasher). You also get a strange piece of "cheesy toast' on your plate, which seemed out of place. You also get a grilled tomato and, scrambled eggs and fried potatoes. Guess it was OK for the $9, just not what I was expecting. The owner probably isn't really Irish like so many of these Irish bars / restaurants here in the USA.

“Good casual dining”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

We have eaten here several times when visiting the area and have always been pleased with our experience. This time we went for Sunday brunch. The food was good and the prices very moderate. The only downside was the service which was less than attentive. Furthermore, the server was somewhat argumentative and appeared to have perhaps stayed out too late the night before. Clearly not happy to be there! We will come back here and hope to get the friendly, helpful service experienced on earlier visits.

“Didn't eat here - but great pub atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2013

Food looked decent but we didn't eat here. Beers were good, however, I did see the bartender pour a Guinness wrong and that made me question the place. Good hangout place for all ages.
