“Different than any other”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

It is laid out so neatly and orderly, the burial order is different than anything we are use to. There were some very old headstones; I loved reading their final remarks! We walked out using the tree covered road; very pretty!

“A serene spot to visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2013

God's Acre is the Moravaian town cemetary, in use since the 18th century. We visited for just a few moments, but it is bueatiful and quiet.

“Impressive in its simplicity”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013

The cemetery is a beautiful, peaceful sight, but until a guide or Revolution Gliding Segway Tours leader explains the layout, the casual observer will not understand the logic behind the arrangement of the graves.

“Moravian Cemetery”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

This cemetery includes white headstones tidily arranged in the old style "choirs"--by gender--on a pretty green hillside. It's a walk to get there, but worth the time.

“Peaceful stroll”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

Not a fan of cemeteries, but Gods Acre is beautiful. Because the Moravians decided to use flat marble stones to memorialize the dead, there is a uniformity and symmetry that commands peace. We walked along and read the scripture verses written on the marble slabs. It is interesting to see the older memorial from the 1700s. Lots of history in Gods Acre.
