I was looking forward to our night visiting William's downtown. We stopped in about 7:15 on a Thursday night and the place was about empty, maybe two other tables. Looked like one server, and no bartender for the night. We had stopped in around Christmas holiday for a drink at the bar and check out the surroundings (and see if we wanted to come back and eat).
The draft beer was a little on the lukewarm side, a chilled glass would have helped but the kegs weren't at a good temp. Good selection of craft beers and old standbys.
Good selection of salads - I had the spinach salad and my fiance had a house salad. Both were good. Blue cheese dressing was really runny and didn't resemble BC dressing, but my housemade Apple Vinagrette was really good. Thicker like apple butter but very appetizing.
We both ordered fish and what a mistake that was! I think we waited over 30 minutes for our meals that took a top preperation time of 7 minutes. We ordered rare and medium rare. That should have been our first sign something was wrong. My meal was supposed to be pan seared, and came out with HOT grill marks on it. Let alone missing the lemon butter sauce. Overcooked and bland. Roasted potatoes seemed to be heated back up from lunch and the star of the plate the asparagus was covered/slathered/overkilled with a balsamic reduction. His rare tuna was put on a TOO HOT grill and actually top toped. Center was good, but since the coating was so torched it really made his dish also inedible.
We brought to attention of server who called over the manager. It took awhile for him to appear, but he did offer to take care of our meals. Not the impression he wanted to instill in first time guests. I do applaud him for that.
The server went out of her way to apologize, but frankly the issues we encountered had nothing to do with her.
Needless to say, we stopped for pizza on the way home and it was the best darn pizza I had ever eaten in Wilson. ;o)
I am not sure we will be back. Diners are limited in Wilson for an upscale experience, I'm just hoping the food improves. Clearly I won't be having fish next time!!

Thank you for your review. We have addressed the issues that you identified and welcome you back to see if we can meet your expectations. The week you dined with us was the first week we had added the fish items to the menu and we experienced some initial consistency issues but have worked through those and have had no returns on the salmon or tuna since that week. It is our goal to present great food and we are constantly working on improvements.
