“Amazing food off the beaten path”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2012

If your journey down I-95 leads you to stop in Wilson, North Carolina (or anywhere nearby) you should definitely check out this fabulous surprise of a restaurant. We had a multi-course breakfast that was fresh and delicious and sophisticated. The standout for me were the homemade crepes from scratch, stuffed with brie and walnuts, and the other with blueberries and (I think) Meyer lemon curd, were unbelievably good. The other two courses were also excellent--the chef does something fascinating with eggs and pig cheeks, and the pastry dessert course was delectable as well. Don't miss it!

“beginning and end was the best”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2012

We went with our entire family a week ago. I must say we were pleasantly surprised by what we experienced.
The starter course of salad was absolutely the best. Greens just picked from their garden, Incredible grilled zucchini, and a great homemade salad dressing.
Had foie gras It was good but not outstanding.
The main course of pulled beef short rib was good but again not great
Then came the homemade key lime pie. OUTSTANDING is an understatement. This is what makes you try new restaurants. My grandsons 6 and 9 made sure to ask for seconds and possibly thirds and the adults were in complete agreement.
Overall a great experience and a lot of fun.
Will be going back.

“One of the best places I have ever eaten”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2012

On a farm in the middle of the south you will find a chef that really needs to be in New York City at a top restuarnt, not just because of his skills but his passion for food and cooking. He is amazing and I am not alone at thinking this way. This is fine dining in the middle of nowhere. I can eat certain foods I dislike elsewhere just because of the way he prepares it. If you miss this one you are truely missing a diamond, I am waiting for him to wind up on some famous show or somewhere because this is worthly of being one of the all time best places to eat (and I have traveled and eaten in some of the best places in the world). P.S. has anyone reviewed this place and given it less then five stars? NO point should be taken. I am currently in Germany and would recommend someone here to fly to NC and visit just to go here (anyone ever been here knows what foodies these guys are and hard to please)

“Splendid food with bed and breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2012

Jeremy Law, owner/chef makes amazing food for dinner and breakfast as well as explaining about the meat and vegetables and their origins. Perfect portions, not too big, just delicious. Remember to bring your own wine and enjoy staying in comfortable rooms so you don't have to drive after dinner. If you come in daylight, visit the horses, dogs and cats outside along with viewing the veggie garden. Not dressy, but unusual and FUN.

“What a delightful meal, environment and experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2012

Despite getting lost in the countryside of my own town, the meal and company MORE than made up for the early frustration. One of my best friends got us a gift certificate to SoCo for Christmas and I must say, she gets "gift giver of the Year"-- it was a fantastic experience! Jeremy (the owner/chef) and Kim have a beautiful guest home and dining area in the peaceful country-side. Good, hearty food abounds with delicate flavors and excellent balance in each course. It will definitely fill your heart and stomach. Word of advice- it's BYOB, so bring your own alcohol if you desire.
