“Great value for the price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2011

This is pretty much your typical Days Inn room. Good amenities--fridge, microwave, iron, coffee maker. Clean enough, but...
Our biggest complaint was that the "nonsmoking" room had clearly been a smoking room for a long time. The scent was entrenched in the room, and bothered us every time we entered.
The pool looked extremely clean and was even open--and it was February!
The location is central, but you still need to drive to get to the downtown area. However, a taxi ride there will run you only about $10. The hotel is also about a 20 min drive to Wrightsville Beach. No free breakfast, but there is a Dunkin Donuts across Market Street.

AOK, helpful staff, but paying an extra day proved complicated

We stayed at the hotel for what turned out to be approx 2 1/2 weeks while waiting to move onto our boat. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel price was good for the area and although the rooms could use some sprucing up they were clean and well maintained. The rooms have a refrigerator and microwave which is great for longer stays.. Having Jeanette's restaurant on the property was also helpful and we found the prices in the restaurant to be below what you would expect. All in all, unless you just really want an upscale place to stay, this hotel is a good value and fine place to stay for 1 day or longer.

We have stayed at this hotel 3 times now and every time we have been very pleased. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. We only had one time that we had a person assist us that wasn't too personable, but everyone else has made up for it on other occassions. The location is perfect and convenient for shopping, sightseeing and going to any of the local beaches. There are a number of various restaurants close by and the restaurant at the hotel has great food at unbelievable prices. It says a lot when there are local regulars that come to eat at all times of the day!!
I would recommend this hotel to everyone!!

My five year old son and I stayed here for a few days and we fell in love with it. Each day, I had to go to the office for either directions, change for the drink machine, or to mail a postcard, and each time, the desk clerks were happy and helpful. There is a very small gift shop in the lobby that has some beach themed Christmas ornaments, pool toys, post cards, and some small sized health and beauty items. There is also a resturant attatched to the lobby. We didn't go there, but it sure did smell good!! Our room was clean and our feet didn't get black from dirt walking on the carpet. There was a small table with one chair, a comfy reclining chair, a nice desk and chair (the desk had paper and a pen), a corner lamp and a dresser in the room. The TV had several channels. The fridge kept the drinks cool, but it would have been nice if they got cold. I didn't see a temp. control setting. The bed was too hard for my personal comfort. The bed had FOUR FAT, FLUFFY pillows!! No thin, flat pillows here!!! A hair dryer was on the wall beside the rack for hanging clothes...had an iron and board. The bathtub was wide enough to manouver in while showering. The adjustable shower head was ultra nice, as was the strong water pressure! But the absolutely best thing about the stay was the pool!! It is open til eleven pm!! It was big and clean, with plenty of lounge chairs and umbrella covered tables. The pool went from three to five feet. The handrail that went into the pool was too short for adutls. It was the perfect height for my five year old, though. And it is us 'old' folk that need the 'extra hand'!! Other than that, it is the best hotel pool we have been to. We hated to leave, just cause of the pool!! Since the hotel is so close to a major intersection, it is extremely hard to get out. If you are turning right, you will have to wait for the light to change and a kind person to let you in. If you are wanting to turn left, YEA, good luck with that!!! You will be waiting a LONG time!! Sticky Fingers Rib shack is right next door, and there are tons of eating places/shopping places all around. Other than the 'hard to get out of' parking lot, and the 'not cold enough' fridge and the 'short pool handrail', this place is perfect for the budget minded person. Will be staying here again!

This hotel is ideal for the price we paid, and the rooms were all standard and comfortable. The room was cleaned daily and stocked up and the reception desk couldn't do more for you. The only let down was that it was further out of town then what we expected, although there was a bus service (105) that ran at $1.50 a trip but they stopped running at 8.30am.

I was impressed by my whole experience at this motel. I didn't try the restaurant but it must be good because the lot was full each night we were there. After reading reviews on other motels closeby I was reluctant to try any places; I was pleasantly surprised at how clean, quiet and comfortable the room was. The large TV channel selection as well as fridge, microwave and coffee maker were all plusses.
