“Simply the best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2014

We went to Dock Street as a family with an 11 year old convinced she didn't like seafood. One sampler platter later she's sold. There's a huge difference between a seafood buffet and a place that cooks fresh for you. We loved the place. The snow crab cracks right out (again, because it was just cooked), the oysters don't taste the least bit fishy, and I was even able to like crayfish for the first time. It's small and cramped. So get there early and be ready to eat.

“Best oysters!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2014

Do not miss having oysters here, they are fresh and fabulous! The service was fast and friendly and they even shucked the more difficult ones. Crab cakes delicious as well. Would definitely return.

“Fish Tacos, and so much more!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2014

We go to DSOB every time we're in Wilmington...okay, that's been twice now, but the food here is great. Fresh, tasty, with something for everyone. Our 12 yr old ordered raw oysters and the fish tacos, and he was kind enough to let me slurp an oyster or two, and taste his tacos. Oysters were of good size, and fresh, and the fish tacos were light, crunchy with an excellent mix of toppings and sauce.
And as I said, they have something for everyone. Our youngest is not into seafood at all, so he had the pasta and marinara. I had the shrimp with horseradish sauce, which had a nice bite and moist shrimp. The staff are great, and are very attentive, so much so that the owner immediately noticed that my meal hadn't come out at the same time as the rest of the table, and she checked to see where it was. It was literally maybe a minute behind, but they were that attentive. We'll be back, definitely.

“Don't miss this one!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2014

We wandered into Dock Street in downtown Wilmington, and discovered one of the best seafood places we have ever been. Great food, great service, and great atmosphere. Located in a very old warehouse building near the Wilmington docks, you can almost imagine all the old time dock workers and sailors wandering around the place. Highly recommend!

“fun place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2014

Dock Street Oyster Bar is a fun, funky, unpretentious place right in downtown. The food was good (especially liked the the crab dip), the staff friendly. I had the brisket tacos, which were outstanding. Would definitely go there again, even though I'm not a big seafood fan!
