“Go for dinner, with a small group!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2014 via mobile

We went to Cousin's on a Friday night for the family style Italian meal. The food was very good, served hot and delicious. The wait staff were all excellent. The main course was a chicken dish - we had to take half home as the food from this 6 course dinner just did not stop. This would be a fun night with one or two other couples. Bring your own wine and the per couple cost with tax is $53.50 - hard to beat that. Two seatings 6 and 8 on Friday and Saturday night.

“Good food, great service, bad table”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2014

Four of us went to Cousins for the fixed menu dinner. We were in the first seating and they had a full house. When our first course arrived, we asked the server if the A/C could be turned down or off, as it was blowing directly down on us. We were told that it had to stay at that level, but they would try to adjust the airflow. The adjustment made it worse. The food was good and the service was excellent, but each hot dish was cold within 2 or 3 minutes because of the airflow. The noise level was also very high. This was not an enjoyable evening. We left there chilled and unhappy. Our server did everything she could, but there was really nothing that could be done, given the space constraints. We won't be returning.

“Rough around the edges charm”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2014 via mobile

We've eaten here a few times and it's always generally good, family-owned deli style food. Be warned that grilled veggies often come very charred meaning there's a bit of picking out the charcoal pieces. Otherwise sandwiches are generous and the bread chewy, not soggy.

“Perfect salads and strombolis, and also dinner!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2014

We went to Cousin's Deli for lunch the day before. But we came back the next day, and let me assure you: our dinner was fantastic! (January 25, 2014)
Here is how the dinner went down, piping hot and right on time:
--Crostini & Caponata -- perfect (just like my husband makes, and his Caponata is awesome)
--Stuffed mushrooms -- delectable
--Shrimp with light, creamy garlic sauce -- delicate and perfect
--Eggplant parmesan -- just like you'd expect: delicious
--Salad -- crisp Romaine, perfectly dressed
--Penne pasta -- cream sauce, pancetta, mushrooms. You know how it is when a restaurant actually gets "al dente" right? Yeah, that's exactly how it was, firm but not hard: "to the tooth"
--Fresh green beans, sauteed "al dente" -- again, perfectly cooked
--Chicken scaloppine -- by now I must admit, we were getting full! But the dish was more than we could have hoped for: pefect slices of chicken, breaded, then fully cooked but still moist and delicious, with sauces, caramelized onions and peppers piled high
--Cannolis, Carrot Cake with Uh-MaZing cream cheese frosting, and Biscotti. -- triple threat of fabulous desserts, all made at Cousins.
--Although it was offered, we didn't have room for coffee. We had enjoyed enough of the BYOB vino we brought!
As for portion sizes, let's just say we took plenty of leftovers back to the hotel, enough to take home to share with our kids. Their discriminating tastebuds will undoubtedly confirm our assessment of the night.
It was perfect!
