This restaurant was recommended to us by my husband's barber who told us that it was one of the best Chinese restaurants he'd ever eaten at. He wasn't wrong. We went there for lunch while on errands in Wilmington. It's located in an unassuming location, in a very small shopping center and could be hard to spot unless you knew exactly where to look. It's quite nice looking on the outside and unexpectedly lovely on the inside - several rooms, lovely wooden floors, rooms decorated very tastefully in Chinese decor - lamps, vases, lacquered screens, etc. There is even a special "tatami" room without the tatami mat - you sit on the floor at tables. In my opinion, the entry to this restaurant is one of the most beautiful and welcoming places I've ever visited - outside of Tokyo (where we once lived) - with the soft Asian background music it was almost "zen-like" when we were seated and there was only one other occupied table, but as it got busy it was just a wonderful restaurant to peacefully enjoy a meal. The hostess was warm and gracious as was our server - she was helpful, friendly and looked after us the whole time we were there. The food was delicious and the luncheon menu was fairly extensive. For a very fair price, we had an entree which included either a choice of soups or a very freshly made spring roll, and white or brown rice - all beautifully prepared and presented. I can't say enough about this place. This is not your typical "Chinese" restaurant, so please go and enjoy a different experience.
