Three of us had dinner at The Brasserie du Soleil at Lumina Station last night. The place was pleasant with a choice of indoor or outdoor dining...we stayed inside. The menu is eclectic and features basic, well-prepared American selections. A fair amount of seafood dishes on the menu, as expected in a seaside resort, but they were predictable and didn't feature local dishes (why Scottish salmon in North carolina?...). There were also a good selection of beef dishes and salads, as well. The drinks were large and the service was cheerful. My companions had the brie/spinach crepe and sauteed flounder. I had hamburger sliders and fries. The fries were nothing special and came as a separate "side" for $5!! The desserts were served in small glasses, which was interesting but a bit twee. However, the tart that I ordered came on a plate and was delicious. All in all, a pleasant place but I'm OK not going back.
