“Best Thai Food in Wilmington”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

Indochine provides a unique dining experience. The decor makes you feel good when you enter and the service is excellent. The wait staff is accustomed to working in a busy environment. Indochine has been very successful and has gotten busier over the years. They do not take reservations and if you arrive after 6:00pm or so, expect to wait 45 minutes to an hour. The bar (only waiting area in the winter) is small and can get crowded.

The food is excellent and comes in a variety of different degrees of hotness. Our favorite is the Happy Melody, which is a combination of beef, chicken, pork and sea food. The portions are large and it is fun to share several different dishes. The menu appeals to a variety of tastes.

Although the restaurant is busy most all the time, the crowd actually adds to the dining experience. We enjoy watching all of the people that that frequent Indochine and the dining experience, once seated is pleasant. Indochine should be enjoyed when you have several hours to spend for dinner. If you are looking for something quick, try another restaurant.

One major criticiism is the PARKING. The spaces are too small, the lot is not well lit and the asphalt is cracking up with growing pot holes. It is an adventure to find a suitable parking space. The owners are doing well enough to provide their patrons with better parking. Overall, you won't be disappointed with your dining experience at Indochine.

“Can't get enough of this place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

Everytime I visit the area I run here. I love the food, the atmosphere and the service. The tofu toast is so good. The curry dishes are great and my favorite is Yum Yum chicken.

“amazing wonton soup!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

Went there for the first time in Jan 2013 during a visit with relatives. It was a thursday night and crowded and waited to be seated. The food was very good. Was amazed at the wonton soup. Usual wonton soup at an asian restaurant just consists of a couple of wontons and some broth, not theirs!! There wanton soup had shredded cabbage, pieces of scallion, and pieces of chicken in it, delicious! very filling and satisfying. Everyone else seemed to be very pleased with their meals, and the service was excellent considering how crowded it was. And this was a Thursday night! So I don't know about the negative reviews written, but it must be very good for the locals to keep it crowded every night of the week. The only drawback I found, was because of the crowd, it was very noisy and difficult to clearly hear the people at your own table because of all the clutter noise, but other than that, great! I have been told the outside area is very nice, we were there on a chilly rainy night inside. I would go again.

“Meh.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013 via mobile

The best part of the restaurant is its front entrance - swings, a dragon fountain, an exotically painted door.
Inside, the food is mediocre: calamari is greasy and rubbery, my 'lunch special' soup bowl was a big bowl of blandness and noodles with 2 shrimps, 2 scallops and a lot of chewy squid. The cold noodle dish bowl had good flavors - the beef had nice flavor.
Altogether, when you combine the barely-navigable parking lot, our surly waitress, and unremarkable fare... Not worth returning.
