“Great Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2011

I was staying here Oct 1, 2011. This is a really nice hotel and seems brand new in every respect. The bed was very comfortable. The service was friendly and efficient. The breakfast was very good. If you stay on the 3rd floor, you will even have a great view of the valley and mountains. This hotel is convenient to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Room Tip: there is no "restaurant" but a breakfast buffet table for the continental breakfast.

After staying at this Hampton Inn over a year ago I was hesitant to stay again on my recent business trip. I was less than thrilled with the customer service and my overall experience at my first stay. What a difference a year and the right management makes!

I was blown away by the improvements. The hotel is impeccably clean, the staff is friendly and personable. I had the pleasure of speaking with the General Manager (Susan) and as a business owner it was refreshing to see someone with such high standards for customer service. Often management tends to hide in the office, not the case at this Hampton Inn. Susan's presence in the hotel was strong and her interactions with both customers and staff were impressive. Such a positive change. Definitley book this hotel for your stay!

My only complaint is the missing cookies- At other Hampton Inns they serve fresh cookies in the evening and my sweet tooth was left a little disappointed!

Room Tip: Front rooms have gorgeous mountain views :)

Our room was so clean and new, we wondered if we were the first to ever stay there! Lovely mountain view from our room, friendly and accommodating staff. The fitness center consisted of only one bike and one treadmill but I thought that was suitable for the size of hotel and it was top of the line equipment. Breakfast offered a well stocked variety of fresh items.

Always a quick check in and very friendly staff.. We travel to Jefferson often for business / have stayed at the Hampton since the week it opened a couple years ago. Beautiful views (deer grazing on grass outside your window). The owner, Amar Patel, is very guest friendly, he goes out of his way to make you feel at home away from home, always very accommodating. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Jefferson, W Jeff, Boone, etc., only 20 minutes to Boone for Football games.

Room Tip: Clean and comfortable, very comfy beds

From the online photos I thought this was going to be an older Hampton Inn, but come to find out it's just a year old. Given that the place was clean, quite and has a great view of the mountains. The fitness room was not bad a little small, but as Hamptons go it was standard. There wasn't any water in the cooler and the hotel didn't have a water fountain so I felt like I was going to die after running 3 miles until I got to my room and had to make ice water. The front desk was nice and helpful, I did not have breakfast but for dinner I ate at Brickstone Pizza & Pasta downtown which wasn't to bad with good beer specials. Overall you can't beat this Hampton Inn if you plan to stay in the West Jefferson area.

This is a newer property nestled on a hill surrounded by the mountains. The room was very clean. The king sized bed mattress was very comfy and the linens were top notch. Room had a small refrig, microwave, and small sink that was perfect for snacks and making coffee. The AC worked well, but because of where the bed was situated, it blew on us all night. Would have been nice to be able to redirect the air flow up towards the ceiling. The breakfast lounge area was very comfy with couches, chairs/tables and high top chairs with tables that had electric plugs for laptops. Breakfast was average: coffee service 24 hours a day, microwave pancakes and sausage biscuits seemed a bit odd, bagels, toast, cereal, yogurt, juices. The only drawback was the mixed fruit that looked like it was canned. Service during breakfast was very friendly. Maid service was very friendly. There's only a few hotels in W. Jefferson, but this is the only named brand one and is definitely the place to stay.

This is a newer hotel in West Jefferson, NC. The rooms are clean and the staff is outstanding. The complimentary breakfast could be improved, but overall I would rate this hotel as good in an area that does not have a lot of selection. It is a safe bet in a small town.
