“What a surprise find!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2013

This little bakery/restaurant/coffee shop was a surprise on my recent visit to Weaverville. Great lunch variety. The spinach quiche was wonderful. I don't usually care for crust, but this was the best I've ever had. The kale salad was very tasty. There were several other salads and sides would liked to have tried. Extensive coffee bar. I was very tempted by the many dessert choices, but was too full from my meal.

I will return and recommend to others.

“Feast for the Eyes - Nothing Memorable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

We have visited this locally well known bakery a few times (as outsiders from the Northeast). Though it is highly rated, perhaps we have just selected the wrong items.

In all fairness, their sandwich's and/or house made special salads may have more wow factor, as they are creative and different.

Pastries, brownies and cookies were okay, quiche was very dry.

Sadly for us ... nothing unusually memorable or "gotta have again" for us.

Also, expected to get a great cup of coffee here too. Instead it was flat on flavor and after driving one block away we both found our coffee beverages to be barely warm (not hot at all). Actually threw them out at the gas station around the corner.

Will try yet another time since we keep hearing otherwise. Sorry.

“What's a bakery like this doing here?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013

Wow! How did this place get here? All kinds of baked goods. A place to get a sugar high. Excellent coffee. Attentive service. Wonderful, relaxing atmosphere. I would expect to find a place like this in a much larger city, but I'm glad it's in Weaverville.

“yummmmm”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2013

Love this charming neighborhood coffeehouse/bakery on Main Street. Everything is beautifully displayed in old-fashioned glass cases and tastes as good as it looks. Their quiches was worth the too-long wait on a recent early-morning visit but my favorite is still The Well Bred's peanut butter/oatmeal/chocolate chip (gluten free) cookie. YUMMMMMMY!
