We made our reservation on line where WiFi was advertised and the views looked fabulous. When we arrived, the property was indeed beautiful with 2 creeks running through the property. The room was adequate though rustic. The air conditioner worked poorly and only for a short while before the circuit blew and the light switch was very warm to the touch. We slept with the window open which did help cool us off a bit. The plumbing was VERY slow. No wifi was available and there was little attention to detail. The inn keepers were very nice but both held full time jobs and this appeared to be a hobby. The breakfast was good. Disappointing stay and we payed more for this bed and breakfast than any of the other 4 that we stayed in on this trip!

My wife and I travel to many Bed and Breakfasts and this is one of the best. The food was great; the property is located in a gorgeous setting complete with mountain creek and the owners are very personable. Refreshments and snacks are always available and there is plenty of space to socialize or to find a quiet area to read a book. We can't wait to go back.

Dust, weeds, and repairs, the grounds are beautiful and in need of care. The tiny bathroom in our room was so outdated, 50's, the tile was permanantly stained with green streaks. Our host's only recomendation for dinner on a Sunday was "the place next to the Eckert Drug Store"..luckily we ventured out on our own and found a wonderful gourmet (sundried tomatoe, goat cheese and pesto) pizza place that made their own homebrew in 6-9 different varieties. I thought one was Smithicks for sure.

Be Aware.

Looking at the Mountain Creek online it seemed really nice. Our room was damp and musty(in the basement). It was a really warm day/evening and there was no air. Our friends room was warm, even with the air on. The colossal breakfast we were told about was definitely gourmet and was excellent...we just left hungry and stopped in Maggie Valley a short time later to eat. I'm sure the place was nice in it's time, but is now what I would call in need of maintenance to say the least. The hosts were really nice and the other guests that we met were really nice and we thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent with them. I just would not go back.
