Average staff who smelled of stale cigarette and spent more time texting on their phones than attending to their customers.

“Yum!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2013

A breakfast buffet to start the day with a bang! While smaller than some selections at major chains, this was a very tasty value. Custom omelets, fresh waffles, great biscuits, excellent sausage gravy, and creamy grits..... and the service was excellent. The facility is lovely .... a few minutes spent quietly on the huge veranda looking at the brilliant fall foliage is a lovely way to start the day. Waynesville is a very visitor friendly town with a wide variety of artists and shops. I love to spend a few hours wandering anytime I'm in the vicinity.

“Would not go back”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

We had read great reviews so we went for our 23rd anniversary this past weekend. We waited for the hostess for 10 minutes before we were seated (we got there about 5:30). Tried to make reservations but no one answered the phone. The sweet tea was old and cloudy. Food was good but not worth the $69.00 price tag for 2 steak dinners. We paid $2.50 each for the salad which was not anything special. Will not go back.

“Great Restaurant in a Small Town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2013

The Cork and Cleaver is a great restaurant. Was a little difficult to find as it is the Waynesville Inn with limited signage, but well worth the trouble it took to locate it. The food and service was really excellent.

“Glad we had an early reservation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

The food was delicious but if we hadn't gone early the service for diners near us was quite slow. We were with a large group that booked almost the entire resort so that could explain why there was slow service since so many of us wanted to dine at the same time.
