Went one time when it was Apple Crate and found food to be very mediocre and pricey. Just went back for convenience sake - had a business meeting nearby this week. Now that it is Apple Creek Cafe.I will let you be the judge - I think this speaks for itself.I ordered 2 turkey sandwiches and 2 soft drinks - can you guess what the total came out to be? $19.44!!!!The turkey sandwiches were NOT large subs or anything like that - they were priced $6.95 each and were made of regular sandwich bread and had a handful of regular ridges chips (similar to Ruffles potato chips). Each soda cost $1.75 and with tax that is how we ended up paying $19.44!!! We noticed that the tables had a small sign saying that they were now open for lunch on Sundays - the only reason I think they would be opening on Sundays is that they need to pick up their sales - the day I went there were ONLY 4 tables occupied in this very large cafeteria. If they could only see that the reason they are not filling up the place and that their sales are suffering is clearly because they are so overpriced! The sandwiches were NOTHING at all to write home about! They were clearly mediocre - had no outstanding taste - just plain tasting turkey sandwiches. They would not have to open up on Sundays if they started to offer a decent size sandwich such as a sub sandwich for the same price - perhaps even patrons could SHARE such a sandwich and make their trip worthwhile and affordable. But to receive a mediocre sandwich bread sandwich for $6.95, you are so better off going to Subway, for instance as you can get your money's worth with $5.00If people could only see that the formula for success is: Give customers great tasting food at an affordable/reasonable price, then you would have to most likely be taking names because people would be lining up for that. My final comment, when I left extremely disappointed and feeling that I had been "robbed", I could not help but notice that a tenant next door to the Cafe, was arriving with her lunch from McDonalds! I am sure her tastebuds and more importantly, her pocket book was "loving it"!
