“Nice clean park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013 via mobile

The last reviewer spoke about noisy. I guess if you have a slot by the highway it could be noisy. Even so the highway is not busy at all.
The park is very friendly, clean and well kept. It sits on a beautiful stream. Close to Wyanesville and Maggie Valley. Only disappointment is the closure of their caffe. We would have enjoyed a breakfast or two.

Not what I expected after the description on their web page. "free WiFi" is all but useless unless you are by the office, Pride Cafe' is closed, seemingly no restrictions on dogs barking at all hours. VERY poor drainage in the sites and very low water pressure. We asked how many dogs were allowed on a site and were told that there was really no rule covering that, which explained the 5 small, loud and unruly dogs penned up in the site next to us ( complaint fell on deaf ears). We paid a $5.00 per day surcharge to be by the creek during a week of heavy rain, which made the effort worthless. I know the park cannot control the weather, but to still charge a premium rate for the risk of being swept downstream during the night!?!?!?! I only recommend this place to people who are not bothered by the sound of barking dogs 24 hours a day.

We stored our RV there for a few days while we moved in to our new home, the storage rate is very reasonable but the storage area is a swamp (we had to be pulled out with a 4x4). When we booked the storage the office person said that we would have to sign a storage contract but the contract really didn't mean anything; I took this as confirmation that they attach little or no significance to their own rules.

Apparently, in keeping with the christian values of the park, checkout is delayed until 11:30 am on Sunday. According to the printed materials we received at check-in, if you attend their church service, your checkout time is extended. I find this very discriminatory towards non-Christians....

Room Tip: Bring your own WiFi hotspot.
