“A+, Perfect get-a-way!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2013

We planned a trip to Asheville and we decided for the first time to stay at a Bed and Breakfast. We ended up choosing Oak Hill on Love Lane Bed and Breakfast. Our stay was absolutely wonderful! For us it was very special to sit down in the morning for a delicious breakfast at a very well set table. It was a wonder change of pace from our normal cup of coffee and cereal before running out the door to get the kids to school. But what really made our stay that this antique Victorian setting was the attention to details from the hosts, Dave and Shell. Anything you can possibly think of to ask, they can answer or more than willing to find the answer.
We are looking forward to our next visit to Asheville and the mountains. We already know that we plan to return to Oak Hill.

Originally we had planned to stay here for 2 nights, but after Sheldon pointed out what the area had to offer we decided to extend our stay to 5 nights.
Sheldon and Deb made us feel so very welcome, this is not just another B&B, it is so much more.

The rooms were not only immaculate and classically decorated, they were practical and welcoming. The beds were very comfortable and they were prepared each evening ready for you to get in, with a chocolate on our pillow and a bottle of water next to your bed.

We loved sitting on the back porch watching the birds and squirrels at play, and in the evening we watched the fire fly's in the tree's whilst sipping a coffee, tea or soft drink.

Both Sheldon and Deb are the ultimate hosts.
Breakfast is an experience not to be missed. Deb's cooking is fantastic, she accommodated any food likes and dislikes, but also provided an amazing variety of flavours and foods that we had never experienced (and she is willing to share her recipes).
Everyday we were sent of for the day with a bag containing muffins or brownies 'for later'.

Sheldon helped us plan each day by provided maps, instructions and advice as well as provide dining recommendations and make our reservations. (He was spot on with every recommendation).

One of the outings he advised was to go and see the Elk with the Cataloochee Valley Tours. This is one of the best tours we have ever experienced!

Deb and Sheldon introduced us to the local bluegrass music and lent us their 'Balsam Range' CD's to play in the car. We loved listening to it.

We were sad to have to leave as this B&B is a true example of luxury where the Inn keepers are providing 5 star accommodation at a B&B.

This house is beautiful, sparkling clean, charming and full of history! That said, the hosts, Shel and Deb, outdid themselves! We could not have asked for anything more! From Shel carrying our luggage to our rooms and keeping them stocked with fluffy towels, chocolates and water, Deb's wonderful baked goods, the unbelievably delicious gourmet breakfasts and their unending desire to answer our every needs, this past weekend spent at Oak Hill is a memory we will long treasure!

Our stay at Oak Hill Inn was wonderful! I cannot say enough about Shell and Deb. This is the second time we have stayed there. It was like a first class hotel..from Shell taking our luggage upstairs to the breakfast that was served and the muffins for our day trips. I will definately go back and hopefully bring family next time. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a great place to stay. It was like being with friends.

My wife and I believe this is the best B&B we've encountered. We loved the tasteful decor and artwork. The grounds and setting were beautiful. The breakfast was excellent. Shel and Deb are great hosts. We can't wait to return.

Our fourth stay at OHOLL was like the other three stays . Flawless and personal attention to detail from Shel and Deb make this a must stay for anyone headed to or from a destination . Waynesville itself is a fun town with shopping , restaurants and a couple if cool bars . We will be back!

Great place and fantastic service. Would highly reommand and will defidently return. Owners were fantastic. The food was excellent. Had a great massage from a massuse who came to the B&B, all arranged by owner. Geat restauents in town and within walking distance from B&B. Sheets turned down with a chocolate each night and coffee, tea and snacks always available.
