“What a bargain”

Jeanette and I stayed two nights in this incredible inn,the ambience and laid back feel to this place is to be savoured. The welcome from the hosts,Kari and Marc and their continued hospitality throughout the stay was heartfelt and appreciated.Marc's tray bakes and breakfasts were tastes delights.Go on line and get photographs from andonreidinn.com as my words could not do the inn justice. We left having made friends with the other guests but in particular Marc and Keri, thanks for the good time.

Two friends and I came here for a girlfriend's getaway a few months before I had my first baby. The room was immaculate, the shower was great, and the great room/common room had a gorgeous fireplace and bar to relax by. The breakfast was delicious, truly gourmet, and memorable--one of the best breakfasts I've ever had in my life. Can't wait to bring my husband here.

Mark and Keri, though coming to it late, are obviously born innkeepers. Both are warm, welcoming, friendly and fun. Andon-Reid is quietly beautiful. Unpretentious but with perfect attention to detail. Our room--the Grand Library-- was wonderful, large and with every comfort including fireplace, comfortable bed, ample storage and very nice decor. The bathroom is spacious, very large and extremely attractive. We saw all the rooms and each was special. There is no TV but in lieu thereof our hosts saw to it that our interesting fellow guests and we met and came to know and like each other (not to mention giving us time to read and even do the temptingly displayed 500 piece jigsaw puzzle). The personality of any B & B is dependent on its hosts and that is where Andon-Reid really shines--the mountain view, the beautifully maintained grounds, large and comfortable main room, great porches and breakfast terrace all would be nice but not nearly so memorable without the hosts being such terrific people who have thought to provide any and everything their guests could ever want or need. Mark easily outdoes the EverReady bunny in energy and his breakfast and sweets qualify him as a master chef. For a perfect stay, mountain scenery unsurpassed in our country and pure relaxation go to Waynesville and Andon Reid as soon as you can.

Room Tip: You can't go wrong but Grand Library and cotttage are really special.

Staying here was a great and pleasant surprise. Our scheduled hotel fell through and the owners were very accommodating and went the extra mile to make us welcome. In addition to the excellent rooms and beautiful scenery, the owners make it a place we will surely visit again.

My husband surprised me with a two-night stay at this Bed and Breakfast for our first anniversary, and it went above and beyond any expectations I had. The breakfast alone is exquisite, but the daily homemade dessert was an added treat. The room we stayed in, the Grand Library Suite, was immaculate: cozy, romantic, and private. The other rooms, especially the Carriage room which is off of the house by itself, are beautiful and fit the antique theme of the house with a hint of artistic charm to match the town itself. The hosts, however, made the experience. The reason to go to a bed and breakfast instead of a hotel is for the at-home feel, and our hosts went above and beyond. He was highly accommodating, helping my husband plan the perfect surprise complete with a bouquet of roses he had delivered to our room before we arrived. Everything about this place made us never want to leave. Oh, and I cannot forget to mention the view; it has its own mountain in the backyard that you can watch come into view at sunrise over breakfast. We definitely plan on coming regularly to spend anniversaries here and receive a 10-year brick along the pathway that leads to the house.

Room Tip: The carriage room or the grand library suite are perfect, but all of the rooms are beautiful.

My mother and I had a wonderful time at the Andon-Reid. It's the perfect location for exploring the mountains of North Carolina. The Inn is absolutely stunning with great amenities including a firepit with a view, perfect for watching the sunset. Mark and Kari are fantastic and made us feel at home immediately. Mark even came and picked us up in town one evening when it was pouring rain! Loved the breakfasts, too. I highly recommend!!

We went for our 28th anniversary and were exceedingly pleased. Mark and Kari have done a wonderful job. We spoke with several couples who have been staying there for the last 6-8 years and they say it is even better than before.

Mark and Kari were very gracious and were willing to accommodate our vegetarian diet. Breakfast was served outside with a wonderful view of the mountains. The meal was started with a warm pear with cinnamon and sugar followed by an egg dish with an apple strudel side. The tea and coffee were kept topped off. Our breakfast companions were delightful and we spent an hour and a half lingering over breakfast and enjoying each others company.

The rooms were very nice and had been redone from a previous owner. We stayed in the Grand Library on the first floor (on the photo in other reviews, it is on the left of the porch) which was very spacious. The bed was exceedingly comfortable. The bath was separated from the sleeping chamber by double glass doors. A hot tub and shower were in the center of the bathroom.

The room has a small refrigerator. There is a lighted make up mirror and hair dryer. Plush towels as well as bath robes and slippers awaited us as well. A Keurig coffee maker and ample selection of coffees and teas were available as well.

A tasty selection of "welcome home" fresh baked goods and water and soft drinks are awaiting you as you enter the main area. Wi-fi is available and the best part is NO TV! Who really wants to listen to that anyway? The Inn has 5 rooms in the main house as well as the carriage room. There was no noise to disturb us.

Although we did not take our gym clothes with us, there is a great little exercise room with treadmill, stepper and a "bowflex" machine in the basement. A pool table, darts and table shuffleboard is also there.

Mark and Cari were the ideal hosts. They were attentive to our needs, supplied us with maps and suggestions for activities and dining and were overall just fantastic! We look forward to returning.

Room Tip: We loved the spaciousness of the Grand Library.
