“Lovely Bed and Breakfast in Waynesville”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2013

We recently spent two nights at the Andon-Reid Inn in Waynesville and totally agree with previous reviewers regarding the great hospitality and comfort provided by Mark and Kari. Our guest stayed in the Rustic Chestnut Room and thought the décor was perfect for the mountain area. We stayed in the Blue Ridge Suite. If you want extra room, this works out well! The suite consisted of the main room with a comfortable bed, desk, and couch. There is a small hallway separating the ensuite bathroom from the bedroom (which provides extra privacy).

The beautiful garden room at the Andon-Reid Inn was a perfect spot for relaxing! After sight-seeing, we'd come back, get a drink, and sit in the garden room while we worked on a jigsaw puzzle or read another chapter in a book. The comfy furniture, numerous windows, and calming atmosphere made this room our favorite. When we mentioned that we liked to play cards in the evening, our hosts made sure that one of the tables in the room was ready for us each night. We enjoyed teaching Kari a new card game while Mark got things ready for the next day's breakfast.

We were planning on a day trip to Cherokee and took the Blue Ridge Parkway in that direction instead of the main highway. Even though the road was foggy that morning, we were still able to enjoy the ride. FYI: Most people head to Cherokee for a little gambling. Nothing's wrong with that!! But take time and visit The Museum of the Cherokee Indian. It's a beautiful museum and worth the visit.

It will be nice to come back to the Andon-Reid Inn in the near future to try out the new gas fire pit that was being installed in a gorgeous outdoor setting. I'm sure at night time it will be such a relaxing place to meet other guests.

Having stayed in B&B from coast to coast, we can say that this is one of the most enjoyable stays. Mark and Kari are very welcoming and warm. We stayed in the Rustic Chestnut room, and it is decorated with mountain charm. I love the bears and ducks. The Andon-Reid is very pretty and immaculate. While being very nice, we felt comfortably at 'home.' While warm and friendly, our hosts were not intrusive. As you leave you will regret the leaving - as you will be leaving friends. Do stay at the Andon-Reid Inn in beautiful Waynesville - you will be glad you did.

We recently stayed here for 3 nights. Parking was handy, off street right behind the inn. We were met by Mark on our arrival and given a tour of the house and grounds. They are upgrading the inside and out and it looks wonderful. The new room, the cottage?, opened the day we arrived and we got a tour of it. It looks like the perfect place for a honeymoon or anniversary.
Mark and Kari are the perfect hosts. They continually made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms and food were excellent. They also suggested several restaurants to try. We did and found them all very good.
We initially were in the Mountain View Room. The view was great from the balcony. But because of my age I had trouble climbing into and out of the clawfoot tub for my shower. Mark immediately switched us to the Blue Ridge Suite, which suited us better. That's what I call great customer service.
I spent some time on the side porch viewing the mountains, having my coffee, talking to Mark. It was the perfect place to decompress. I also spent time downstairs playing shuffleboard, pool, and darts in the evening.
You have to stay here if you are in the area. This B&B has everything you need.

Room Tip: All the rooms looked great. The Mountain View room clawfoot tub/shower might be a little difficult f...

Waynesville is one of our favorite places to visit, anytime of year. The areas natural beauty, so many things to do, and the town itself being so quaint, always creates a desire to stay longer... no matter how long you have stayed.

This was our first time at Andon-Reid and we are so glad we did it. As stated by everyone, Mark and Kari are great host and seem to be suited well for running a B&B. The are outgoing, bubbly, gracious host and love to converse with their visitors. Breakfast is a great way to start the day before running off to your daily events. I would encourage anyone coming to western North Carolina to check out the area. When you do, stay at Andon-Reid !

As soon as we arrived and were greeted by Mark and Keri I knew we were in for a great time. The B & B was nice and clean. The beds were very comfortable which was important since we were there for 6 nights. They offer so many activities at the B & B, so when we returned in the evenings we would play pool or shuffle board. The best part was Mark and Keri, we were made to feel like family. Mark made breakfast for us every morning, we were never disappointed they were all delicious!!! The last night they played dominoes with us. Waynesville was a great location for vacation, so many things to do near by.

First of all, Waynesville is beautiful and so is the Andon-Reid B&B! The rooms are great, beautiful, clean and comfortable. Mark and Kari go out of their way to make you feel at home. They are very gracious, enthusiastic hosts, noticing small details and acting on them to make sure we had everything we wanted! We stayed six nights and didn't have the same breakfast twice, but each one was delicious! I can't wait to visit Waynesville and Mark and Kari again!

Room Tip: We stayed in the grand library, it's on the main floor so no stairs, and it's huge and very...

My mom and I stayed at Andon-Reid for two days as a "girls getaway". We are from Indiana and after our 6 hour drive we were starving! We called Mark and Kari to let them know we were on our way and they took the initiative to make us dinner reservations at a nearby restaurant, highly recommend the Sweet Onion, for our arrival! At that point we knew we were in for a treat! Upon arrival they both greeted us with open arms and helped carry our luggage in followed by a tour of the home, we immediately felt welcomed. The night we came was a snowy one so we enjoyed relaxing by the big fireplace downstairs and had hot tea. The next afternoon we went to visit The Biltmore and breakfast/coffee/juice was hot and ready before our departure! The food was fantastic because it was tasty, just the right amount, and not heavy. Our day at the Biltmore ended early because of the cold weather so we decided to head back to the bed and breakfast and spent the rest of the afternoon and evening chatting with Mark and Kari about their many adventures, having tea, and just relaxing!! It was amazing!! We were so sad to leave the next morning (we were headed to the beach and didn't want to leave if that tells you anything) but really enjoyed meeting Mark and Kari, we hope to keep in touch with them. They both heave hearts of gold! The bedroom was immaculate, the beds were SO COMFY, and the overall experience is one we will never forget. My mom and I had so many laughs and very much enjoyed the stories Mark and Kari shared about their world travels. I could go on and on forever about how wonderful this getaway was :) YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

Room Tip: The Blue Ridge Room/Suite was wonderful. We enjoyed the morning sun and a night the warm fireplace w...
