“Amazing Anniversary Trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2012

To celebrate our 17th anniversary, my husband and I headed to the mountains for a week of fun and fitness at the Andon Reid B & B. We were blown away by the luxurious accommodations, the warm hospitality, and delicious meals. Ron and Rachel Reid are masters at making you feel like one of the family! A very special "thank you" to Rachel who lovingly prepared gluten and dairy free meals for me each morning that were out of this world. We also greatly enjoyed our personal training sessions and fitness education with Ron and Rachel. We each came home with a personalized work out program and a renewed commitment to exercise! Workouts aside, we found plenty of time to relax while sitting on the porch rocking chairs, meandering through the Great Smokey Mountains, or wandering through downtown Waynesville with its charming shops and restaurants. We highly recommend the Andon Reid B & B as your perfect mountain retreat and plan on visiting again for our 18th anniversary!

Room Tip: We really enjoyed the White Sulfer Suite with its adorable sitting area, gas fireplace, enclosed pri...

My experience at the Andon Reid B&B went way beyond my expectations. I have stayed at other B&B's before, and while their accommodations were desirable, they were just a place to sleep. But not so while staying at the Andon Reid! You became family! Ron and Rachel are wonderful hosts who will bend over backwards to please you! The house is charming, warm, clean and full of history as well as stories with new found friends. The common areas are very inviting and have something for everyone. I loved working out with their top notch exercise equipment! The grounds are perfectly manicured and serene. My room was lovely, the bed comfortable and the shower was great!! I love that there was a plush robe and comfy slippers in the closet awaiting me!
Ok...enough of that...let's talk about the food!!! What sets the Andon Reid apart from the others is their sit down, 3 course breakfast every morning. Rachel is a fantastic cook and dessert maker, very creative and beautifully plated. As Ron graciously pours your juice, warms up your coffee and serves you each course, he is sure to have a funny story, a huge smile and lots of laughs. You definitely feel like you are having breakfast with your extended family! They are sticklers for details and it shows in everything that they do. You can see how hard they work, but they are always upbeat and willing to help out with local sights, restaurants and shopping. The afternoon cookies are sinful but there was always room for one more! Waynesville is such a quaint little town with great stores and delicious restaurants! Asheville is only 30 minutes away- the trolley tour is a must to learn all about the history of this city. And the Smokey Mountains...just breathtaking!!
I highly recommend the Andon Reid to anyone who wants to be well fed and pampered while have a most relaxing time!

Room Tip: The John W room was bright and cheery!

We looked at several on the internet but it's very difficult. Trip advisor helps a lot. There is no fluke to the ratings at this B & B! Rachel and Ron are terrific hosts that deliver a great mix of food, humor, friendship, and a home like feeling. We met some wonderful people there and they had a weight training session. That will probably be our next visit since both Rachel and Ron are certified weight trainers also.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Rustic Chestnut room which was wonderful. There are private bathrooms for each room...

Ron and Rachael are real spoilers. We have stayed at 5 other B&Bs but none compare to the experience at the Andon-Reid Inn. The Inn was spotless, the beds were comfortable, the food was excellent (in addition, I ODed on the peanut M&Ms). Downtown Waynesville not only had good shops, but many excellent restaurants. I would recommend this Inn to anyone!!!!

This is the second three-day week-end that my wife and I have stayed there with friends. Ron and Rachel made our second stay better than our first which was more than fantastic. Homemade cookies, chocolate covered peanuts--my addiction-were always available. Breakfast to "die" for--fruit cup, egg souffle with orange scones + dessert: just one of the breakfasts we had . She made a chocolate/peanut butter ganache dessert that came in second at the yearly baking contest for B & B's--she won last year. The rooms were spectacularly well done and super clean, as usual.
The weather was colder than usual so Ron started and kept the fire going while we all were in the sitting room playing games drinking hot tea and eating popcorn.
Our friends and us are already talking about returning soon and booking a guided fishing trip. They told us of the person to call to guide us on our expedition.
Ron and Rachael are the perfect hosts. They make you feel special, warm and more than family.
Can't say enough about this place and the hosts, and the good thing about it, it's all true!

We took a 40th wedding anniversary trip to Andon-Reid Inn Bed and Breadfast in Waynesville, N.C. and the experience was terrific. Ron and Rachel were wonderful hosts and were quick to help with any requests we had. The breakfasts were superb (we did not need lunch) and Rachel added a nice touch by putting out homemade cookies, snacks, water, and soft drinks for between meal snacking. We enjoyed using the exercise equipment, and the front porch was ideal for relaxing after a day on the go. Very important: the sleep quality of the bed was excellent. All the bedrooms were occupied, but we did not hear the other guests. Ron and Rachel are so friendly and helpful, I am sure everyone who stays there has a great time.
Thanks again for a wonderful weekend.

Spent a glorious weekend in the mountains of North Carolina at the Andon-Reid. Everything about this place is fantastic. I would highly recommend to all and I don't think you could find a nicer place to stay. Ron and Rachel make you really feel at home right from the start. The breakfasts was delicious and our room was absolutely comfy, cozy with beautiful decor. They have paid so much attention to every little detail and they really know how to treat people right. The views from the house are spectacular and the town of Waynesville is very quaint. Andon-Reid is in a great location to use as a home base and make day trips to places like Asheville and a drive through the mountains.
