The atomsphere is tired, dirty, overly decorated with junk (which was dusty) and dimly lit. The food is bland, no seasoning and very much overpriced; I had sausage and peppers sub; The sausage had zero flavor and was luke warm, the onions and peppers were limp, no char and I didn't think it possible to cut flavor OUT of a pepper or onion. No sauce so it was dry and no cheese; All for $8.00; The same peppers/sausage on pasta for $14.00?! Not a single entre under $12; The wine glass had caked on food - sent it back; Got a new glass with less wine - I guess they poured the wine from the dirty glass into the new glass. The table bread was doughy in the middle - not fully baked and the "virgin" olive oil lost it's virginity several years before. Strange waitress - long dirty hair, dirty black pants dragging floor and this was 15 minutes after opening so she came to work that way? She knew little about the food - "spicey? -- her reply - maybe?" A sub, a pasta dish with a small salad, fountain soda and one glass of house wine ($7.00) all for a mere $34.00 before tip. Who goes there and better yet, who every comes back? Not us. I've spent less and got fresh, seasoned italian at a chain like Carrabba's.
A single positive is for the sub roll -- probably vendor supplied.
