“Good Mexican Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

Lived in the Wake Forest area for 13 years and this is our first time to Las Margaritas.
The experience was good.
Good service and the unsweetened ice tea was delicious.
Food came out quick and it was very good also.
Will have to try their Margaritas next time.
We will definitely go back to eat at Las Margaritas again.

“Best Mexican around”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

This is literally a hole in the wall of a restaurant, since it is in a cellar nestled in a quiet street of Wake Forest. We are diehard loyalists now, though, since a friend told us about it and we tried it. It was pretty much just my wife and 1 yr. old there and the server treated us like royalty. All of these things he did unbidden, like bringing a bowl of mild salsa for my baby boy and then keeping the extra napkins coming and the salsa-soaked ones off the table when the kid discovered his love for the stuff. He even brought a warm towel for clean up and kept the drinks refilled. We got our dinners solely based on his recommendation and they were both nothing we would ever have gotten on our own but were awesome. Pollo en Crema and the Illegal Burrito. Highly recommend for the perfect Mexican restaurant experience!

“Charming little family-owned restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2013 via mobile

It's easy to miss this restaurant because it's in the basement of a building in the downtown section of Wake Forest. We went on a Friday night and it was very busy, but the owner found us a table for 2 very quickly. We had 2 top shelf medium margaritas with the chips and salsa to begin. I don't know how much bigger the large drink was, but the medium size drinks were quite sufficient and tasted good. The salsa was disappointing, though, lacking any real zip and tasting more like tomato sauce than salsa. The entrees were a hit, though. My wife had the chicken fajitas and I had the illegal burrito. Both were very good and the portions were large. We were impressed with the quality and quantity of food and the friendliness of the staff. We will definitely return.

“One of THE Best for Mexican Food!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

Two friends and I dined here on a Friday evening to celebrate a friend's birthday. We were seated immediately and ordered drinks shortly afterwards. I had a Mango Margarita which was so good! I'm glad the Margarita sizes are listed on the menu as large, medium, and small. The medium, which I drank, was HUGE! My entree was the enchiladas with chicken and spinach. Absolutely delicious and fresh! This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area and I'll definitely return. This restaurant is easy to miss as it's in the basement of a building, but conveniently located on a corner. The entire staff was very friendly as well.
