Good food, nice atmosphere, service with a smile. Perhaps the best was the dessert menu - hard to choose from, with so many delights!

PicturesQue setting! This is a great place to eat in a beautiful old house surrounded by an outstanding flower garden of Dahlias. Food was great! Good service! NC rainbow trout prepared perfectly, awesome sweet potato casserole . Prices were reasonable. Would definitely recommend and revisit! !
My wife and I ate two meals there over last weekend, and it was AMAZING...!!!! Ther servers, Justin, and Stacy, could not have been better. They were very friendly, upbeat, professional, and efficient. The food was way above average in presentation and taste. Very adequate servings. They have specials, using food from local farmers, such as blackberry cobbler. It is in an old, what appears to be, farmhouse, so it brought back wonderful memories of my Grandpa's house. We ate outside both times, on the front porch, and in the back yard by a gazebo (you can also reserve the gazebo), but I noticed that the inside dining space is very unique and beautiful, with a lot of local character. Beautiful photographs line the walls. It is the only place I care to eat in Valle Crucis. Another bonus is that it is right across the street from the original Mast General Store.
We try to only eat local while on vacation and this was a great spot for our last night in Valle Crucis. A converted home from one of the founding families, it's a great place for couples or families. The tomato pie (cobbler) w/ salad was amazing and the presentation was excellent. Some eat with their eyes first, right? New owners also own Mast Farm Inn. It's located right across from Original Mast General store.
Sit outside, amazing view of countryside.
A wonderful dinner of smoked trout, country fried chicken with sides. Appetizers so large we had to take them to go, the best fried Okra I've ever had. An extensive cocktail/beer menu, and all the food was farm grown, local. Our waiter was very attentive, and entertaining. No wait, excellent food, atmosphere and prices.
