“Food is divine!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2014

Had dinner here with friends. The food was absolutely mouth watering! Trout and tenderloin were our choices for entrées. Then came the scrumptious desserts- hummingbird cake and chocolate fudge cake. What a chef!!!

“One of the best meals of my life”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2014

My husband and I ate here last night and were completely blown away by the chef's tasting menu. This was as good as any meal we've had in DC or NYC - the combination of flavors, freshness of ingredients, and presentation were all outstanding. Scallops with beet puree, salad with granola encrusted goat cheese and fresh cukes, tomatoes, NC Tilefish with perfectly roasted potatoes and a delicate cream sauce with fresh yellow squash. I wish I had 2 stomachs by the time the Friendship cake and mixed berry cobbler with homemade caramel ice cream came out. Such a perfect setting for a wonderful meal and a BARGAIN at less than $55 each. Can't wait to get a babysitter and come again!

“Have been wanting to try it for several years”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2014

We have spent at least one week a year for the past 5 years in Blowing Rock, NC. Each year we have taken a ride past the beautiful Mast Farm, admired its fabulous gardens, and said we would love to try it for dinner without the grandchildren who travel to the mountains with us. This year we stayed at a cabin in Foscoe, only about 15 minutes from the farm. We made a reservation for our anniversary. Special food for a special day. All fruits and vegetables are grown in the garden. I had seen the menu on the internet and thought the prices were quite reasonable. Appetizers ranged from 9-15. Most entrees were in the upper $20's. There was also a 3 course chef's menu that changed on a daily basis. The bread brought to the table was a rustic peasant. Hard not to keep eating it. It came with oil in roasted garlic. My sweet potato veloute was delicious. My husband chose a salad containing a mini-grilled Brie sandwich. The presentation was lovely. His trout main course was delicious as was my duck with honey and ginger roasted vegetables and shaved Brussels sprouts. The portions were just right. I had fears of enraging the chef by asking for medium we'll duck; however it was cooked perfectly and very tender. Desserts were all $7. Since it was a special night, we did not share as usual. My husband had a double chocolate cake which was delicious. I had the special which was a biscuit with berries and cream. Yum. The service was friendly and helpful. The setting is quaint and cozy. It is well worth visiting this terrific place for a special occasion.

“Incomparable freshness and flavor”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2014

Every course was more enticing than the one before. Mast Farm Inn cannot be beat for freshness and flavor. They are also very accommodating to the vegetarian palate. If you are enjoying the beauty of the Smokey Mountains plan for dinner at Mast Farm Inn.

“More with less!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2014

That's the motto here, and it works! Everything is local, and they aren't trying to be pretentious, but rather serve a great meal. Excellent.
