“Best ribeye steak in the area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2013

We ate there Friday May 17, 2013. i ordered Tuna Tataki app and the 14 0z ribeye (nearby restaurants including Ribeyes and Rucker Johns do not serve this size ribeye for $18.95). Our server (CJ) offered a good explanation of the beer selection and I wasn't disappointed. My fiancé ordered Mahi and crab cake. She loved it. I tasted the Mahi and it was cooked perfectly. My ribeye was perfectly cooked at the temp I ordered (med rare). I've been looking for a better steak place around here and this really made my day.

“simple really good seafood”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2013

We went to Nicky's on the last day of our vacation last year. Wish we had found it earlier in the week b/c there are no good restaurants in Emerald Isle. I was tired of filling up on fried hush puppies out of a bag. So it was by chance that we saw Nicky's on our way home one day. From the outside, the restaurant looks uninviting, like a turquoise shack. I thought it might be a seafood store at first. But we decided to take a chance and peer inside. Boy where we glad we did. Inside it is quaint with white tablecloths and a contemporary look, and these great big windows that give you an ocean view. I could have sat at my table all night long looking at the view. And the homemade bread and fresh seafood just made our night. We are coming back in August, and plan to head to Nicky's at least a couple times to enjoy really good seafood.

“New Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

We have not been to the restaurant since they moved down the street but when we were there the menu had many different choices including some delightful Italian dishes. Same owners in a different building about 2 blocks closer in to Swansborro, right at the end of Main street.

“Our regular Friday lunch spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013

We live a few miles from Nicky's and go most every Friday for lunch with family members. The service is always friendly and great, and we appreciate that the tables are not crammed too close together, as one of our group is in a large wheelchair.

I love their clam chowder, and the menu always has a healthy option with fresh fish on a salad for those who eat healthy. They also have fried goodies like grouper fingers and french fries. it's a good location because the scenic little town of Swansboro is right outside the door for a stroll, and Nicky's has plenty of parking.

Casual and relaxed atmosphere but they have a full bar.

“Local reviewer”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2013

Nicky's was Capt Charlie's until the owner leased the restaurant to Nicky. They offer typical fried and broiled seafood plus a variety of Italian, steak and chicken dishes. You'll get a good meal at an average price.
