The Thai Grille is really just a great restaurant for a Thai-American fusion experience. We discovered Thai Grille back in 2009 when we moved to Sneads Ferry. We were shocked to find that such a nice restaurant even existed in the area. We could easily see Thai Grille in Wilmington, but not Surf City. Honestly, good restaurants are just hard to come by in the Sneads Ferry/Topsail/Surf City area.
So what keeps us coming back for more? Well, it's their variety of tasty dishes, excellent staff/service, and the awesome crab wontons! They are truly the best we've ever tasted.
There are plenty of options to choose from the menu. There are soups, curry, and all sorts of chicken, beef, pork, shrimp dishes. I would describe the food as thai-american rather than authentic thai. However, you can tell the food is freshly prepared like that of authentic thai cuisine. You can tell fresh ingredients are used. So don't be afraid to let your tastebuds explore. You won't be disappointed with the beef and basil, pork and ginger, or asian ribs. There are also lots to choose from the list of sides. It is always difficult to decide which two sides we want served with our dinner.
The staff/service has always been excellent. They always greet us with smiles and hellos. And the wait staff is professional, courteous, and eager to accommodate. Very good dining experience and we always leave feeling like satisfied customers.
Lastly, can I reiterate that the crab wontons are fabulous? Mmm, I can taste the creamy crab filling now.
