“What a great space”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

A friend recommended this place. What a good friend. The Foxfire
is the refurbished second floor of what appears to be a Historical building in the original downtown of Spruce Pine. From the moment you enter the resteraunt it is like going back in time, an old place, exposed brick walls, and open ceiling with exposed duct work. Decorated in a warm and eclectic manor, with some unusual lighting. We were there on a Sunday for brunch. Like other resturaunts in this small town the menu changes weekly, but what a wonderful smorgasboard of home cookin' and fresh deserts. The service was personable and attentive, Definitely a must stop when in the area.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

WE have eaten there several times, this was the latest time. We go there every time we go to Spruce Pine. Their food is always outstanding, the salads are great, hamburgers are, too! They normally have specials that they will tell you about! The servers are always attentive to you, too! Please go, you can enter from Upper Street or Lower Street!

“What a Find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

I dined at Foxfire Downtown march 9 after a recommendation by friends and GOOD CALL! The atmosphere and food are incredible. The restaurant is in an old brick building with a funky chic atmosphere. I had nc trout and my friend had prime rib and they were both delicious. Our server was attentive. I'll be back and it is definitely worth the long climb uo stairs!

“Foxfire Restaurant & Bar”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2012

We were there around Thanksgiving 2012. The first visit they were closed, but we returned in the evening. If the red door is open then the restaurant is serving, about 5 p.m. You must climb stairs unless you want to ride the service elevator no matter which entrance you use.
There is access from the alley between the upper and lower streets and from the alley in Spruce Pine. We had a new waitress who was very eager to please. Our meal was very good and served nicely and warm. We had an intimate table for two. The ambiance was warm and friendly. There is a magnificient bar. Everyone was friendly, even the guy with his head in the cooler while closed in the afternoon. We enjoyed ourselves during the Spruce Pine outing and would go again if possible.
