Description: True to our Victorian Southport roots, you'll love our Shabby Chic decor. The atmosphere will remind you of sitting at your grandmother's table! We have over 60 loose teas on our selection, including organic teas. For the tea lover or for those that are new to tea we have lovely gifts. We pride ourselves on everything being made in-house, from our chicken salads, fresh baked Victorian Sponge Cake, Violet's Pound Cake of the Day, shortbreads, and scones that come with a serving of jam and "real" clotted cream. Come with your friends for afternoon tea or sit and read a book. We are also available for Parties, Group Luncheons, Bridal Showers/Luncheons. All are welcome to join us at our table!

“Perfect Tea”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2014 via mobile

Living in the area I have been fortunate to experience this Tea House on a few occasions. You immediately feel welcome and the selections are perfect. There are options from an assorted plate with your choice of sandwich favorite accompanied with a scone and shortbread. For a more filling lunch there are wraps and sandwiches. They have an extensive tea selection. Just a perfect stop when spending the day shopping or sightseeing. The owner is visiting her guests as well.

“Christmas Parade in Southport”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2014

We had the most wonderful time enjoying an amazing dinner and desert, and of course tea! The owner provided free hot tea and hot chocolate to the public while they enjoyed our first night parade. Community oriented!!! What a sweet gift. Thank you.

“Charming Atmosphere with Remarkable Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2014

I highly recommend the tomato basil quiche. It is truly better than I have had at many other restaurants. I travel all over the country and eat at fine dining restaurants, and they do not compare to the freshly prepared meal that I received at the Southport Tea House. Sherri and her staff do a very nice job. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that is in the area, and looking for somewhere good to eat. It is a must!

“Great last stop in Southport”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2014

We stopped at the Tea House on our way out of Southport after a quick day and half stay to get a to-go lunch. Our innkeeper at the Robert Ruark Inn recommended it. Wow, was she right! We were treated so kindly, and had excellent iced teas and delicious sandwiches to go. I wish we could have eaten in-house because it is such a charming place. It was fun to walk around and view all the different tablecloths and place settings in the various rooms. The decorations are lovely. I'd love to come back and experience the ambience for a sit-down meal.

“Lovely Gathering”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2014

Southport Tea House has such great food and ambiance, you may even be able to lure a few men here for a lunch. Recently under new management, it continues to be a great meal with great ambiance. Best for a group of girlfriends to gather and sip tea (so many from which to choose) and lunch on a great salad, quiche, soup.

Thank you for visiting the tea house. We've worked very hard to maintain all that Linda had offered prior to our taking over. It has been our pleasure to have such a fine review! We are honored.
