It's sometimes difficult to find a nice clean place that takes dogs. The Inn at River Oaks was great. It's not a cookie-cutter chain and has a lot of charm. The courtyard has three live oaks,
hanging baskets of flowers, and either rocking chairs or swings with cushions outside every room. Our room had two comfortable double beds, tile floors, fridge, coffee pot, microwave. And let me emphasize clean. It's old-fashioned with wood ceilings and a small bath, but the water pressure was very good, reminiscent of a Seinfeld episode (If you watched Seinfeld, you know what I'm talking about). There is a good restaurant a couple of minutes walk away, and it's a pretty neighborhood. I'd definitely stay here again.
