I had not been to Lineberger's for years. Hubby suggested it as a date night. He had never been, so we made the trek up to Denver from Gastonia.
This is NOT a fancy restaurant. Do not come in a suit and tie. Do wear stretchy pants. You will need them.
First, the Salad Bar...which can be a meal in itself. Homemade dressings. Seafood Salad, Pecan Chicken Salad, too much to choose from.
Appetizers. We had the potato skins. They were done. Not half cooked. We ate a couple and saved the rest. If my memory served me correctly, we would not be having dessert.
I chose the Ribeye with Garlic and Herb Crust. My husband had the straight 12 oz Ribeye. I only had to use my knife twice. That's how tender the meat was. The potato was cooked completely. I didn't bother with the bread. I was eating the important stuff.
I have always wanted to try the desserts. Never have made it to them. They have Homemade Cheesecake. Brownie a la mode. But I was having to roll myself out as it was...the waitress did tell us there were wheelbarrows in the back for that reason.
Sigh!! Maybe we'll make the trek again for Appetizers and Desserts. Sure would like to try that cheesecake.
