“Bring Balls”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2012

A beautiful course which is the hardest I have ever encountered. Never lost so many balls and found so few. The course is beautifully designed but has a psychological twist to it that just entices you in to those areas where no golfer was ever supposed to venture -- Ulysses and the Sirens of Golf! Saw beer lady once in 18 holes. The ninth had a scratch player throwing clubs and pounding the earth with his head...and he has played here LOTS of times. At the turn he went to the range to get himself under control while the rest of us visited the club house for a moment. Back seemed easier but that isn't saying much! Only restroom on the course is on the 15th...a port-a-potty.

“River's Edge”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

One of the most challenging courses I have played. All the locals I know rave about it. Pricey but worth it. The 9th and 18th are round killers. Great views.

“Best value for the money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2012

This is my son's favorite course and by far the best value in the area, including all of Myrtle Beach. The 9th and 18th holes are really masterful; Arnold Palmer did such a great job on this course design. We will continue to return each and every year. The only way someone could possibly not rate this course highly is that it is too tough of a track for them. It is truly a special course and ranks right up there with Caladonia and Ocean Dunes.

“I live here so yes I am prejudice.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2012

BUT it is a gorgeous golf course - challenging and well maintained . The holes along the marsh and river are breathtaking. and the wildlife is certainly a distraction from the course. And do stop in at the Eagle Grill where Connie and her staff will take good care of you!

“The VIEWS”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2012

Just fantastic shape and course design, and the views on 17 and 18 are to die for. Also the par 5 eighth is a true challange at almost 600 yards. Great price alternative for the somewhat expensive Myrtle beach area courses.
