“Very nice staff. Great hotel.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2011

I have stayed here 2x and loved it both times. Rooms are fairly new. Parking is easy and it is a short drive to Cashiers and about 25min to Highlands.

We are Hilton fans and try to stay in Hiltons or Hilton Family of hotels, where we can. Wonderful structure, nice mountain/lodge theme. Our son enjoyed the pool while wife and I enjoyed the work out room. Breakfast is good.
Only problem was that thunderstorm knocked out power one night of our stay and screwed up TV functions. Part of room power also affected too. Front desk girl on evening shift was clueless, as an engineer I knew that a breaker simply needed to be reset. She did not want to call manager, sent up her drunk boyfriend in a borrowed shirt to help and I had to tell him what to do - after telling them that their solution of moving us, after being there two days, was not an option. He finally found a mechanical room and shortly our power was restored. Otherwise - stay was pleasant as we have come to expect.
Bed was unusually hard for a Hilton Bed.

Room Tip: be sure to ask for a 'mountain view' room

In an area of the country where you could easily be staying in some "cottage or inn" dump (most everything here is private beautiful homes and condos) this is a sure bet that you won't end up there. This is a quality Hampton Inn, clean, and well run.

We had a total of 75 people staying in the Hamption Inn Sapphire Valley and the hotel was beyon our expectations. The staff was friendly and very helpful, the rooms were clean and beds were very special! We had one complaint by a family member and the manager took the cost of the room off the bill for the nights of discomfort. Mary Lanning the manager did a wonderful job helping us arrange for 2 years prior to our visit. The kids and adults loved the clean pool and hot tub with fresh towels all around. The rockers on the front porch were a favorite and we sent a lot of fun times in the hospitality suite. My only complaint was the wafffle iron sticks, so when you use it get butter and butter the grill first. The hotel was very clean and in a great place for everything around.

Room Tip: Ask for mountain side room and 3rd or 4th floor.

We were very pleased with this Hampton Inn. The outside and inside is not typical of the chain. The clerk at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. She helped us find a place to eat dinner. Great choice, by the way. The room was nice and clean. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good. Nothing exceptional, but good. I was very pleased with our stay. It is a great location. Right on the main road through town. This is a lovely part of the state and everyone is so friendly.

I always choose Hampton Inns because of their quality and consistency. This particular one is by far one of the nicest I have stayed at. It has a lodge feeling, yet all the modern conveniences. My room had a lovely view of the mountains. The room was very spacious and almost brand-new. There were about a dozen rocking chairs in the front of the hotel from which to take in the fresh mountain air and view. There is an indoor pool which I never had the chance to use, but it looked very inviting. The breakfast was the usual Hampton breakfast and everything was replenished as needed. I am looking forward to returning in the fall to enjoy the wonderful fireplace in the lobby and sip hot chocolate while taking in the beautiful fall foliage!
