“Good location for Food Lion (FL) vendors”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2012

Ok, I'm not sure how many of the guests were NOT visiting FL, but let's just say the lobby was full of guys (& gals) that fit the salesperson bill... Overall this hotel is very nice, updated rooms and lobby. Good location right off the interstate. Decent breakfast - all in all, if you're hitting FL for a one nighter and looking for a good overall alternative to Charlotte (a good 50+ minutes away), this will do it.

Stayed two nights last weekend for Catawba's homecoming. This is a beautifully renovated hotel. The rooms, business center, and the lobby are quite nice.

We got their early on Friday and I spent a lot of time in the business center working remotely for a few hours. I was hoping to check in early but found out that the only room available - the one that I reserved was a king smoking room (I presume user error...). So we hung out in the Business Center while they used this ozone machine in the room to try and take out the smell. It helped a bit but not as much as you'd think. We bought a bunch of febreeze and air fresheners, etc. Used a lot of them but later in the evening found out that most of the issue was the smoking room next door. We couldn't do much to control that. So, in the morning we decided we would see if they had another room or we would find a different hotel. Ended up they had some no shows and we were able to move rooms and floors. The second room was not quite as nice as the first but I was just happy that it was not smoky!

We moved over to the new room and had a nice rest of the stay. We didn't get a chance to actually try any of the food as we were in town to catch up with friends, but it looked nice and plentiful. The staff - Dawn, Paulette, Morgan, and the General Manager Krista were all very helpful and friendly. They even offered to pay for the febreeze and air fresheners because they felt bad that we ended up in the smoking room. I declined the offer but really appreciate that it was made.

You can tell that the owners of this hotel care about this place. It looks great, rooms are rally nice, and the people are solid! I highly recommend this hotel and if you are staying the night in Salisbury, NC you should stay here!

We were really pleased with our stay (Saturday night only) at this Hampton Inn. The location, as noted, is right off the highway, and in the same parking lot as an Ichibian Japanese Hibachi restaurant and a Casa Grande Mexican restaurant with a cute fountain and outdoor seating. The lobby was warm and inviting, the staff friendly and helpful, and the rooms nicely updated and spacious (plenty of room for us to set-up our pack and play and still walk around without obstacles). Rooms were very clean and quiet. No hitches with the free Wifi. Highlight of our stay was breakfast. With so many choices of quick-heat egg and sandwich options (a chicken bisquit and a chicken and egg breakfast quesadilla), we were treated to a filling breakfast with lots of variety. Several pastries, cereals, juices, yogurts, oatmeals, and grab-and-go packages of nuts, dried fruit, and more - as well as make-your-own waffles made this a really comprehensive breakfast offering.

Price was great and definitely gave us a close trip to the NC Transportation Museum and nearby wineries in Lexington.

Great hotel for the price, everything looked and smelled new...even the carpets! Easy area to get around, close to many attractions and just a zip up I-85 to friends and family. Will definitely stay again if even in NC again :)

Room Tip: We had a pool view, nice...but not necessarily a must have as we were on the 2nd floor

We stayed at the Hampton Inn on an over night trip. Upon arrival I found the ladies working the front desk super helpful and extremely nice. When we got settled into our room it was surprisingly spacious. My son had plenty of room to drive his cars around. Everything in our room was very clean. The linens were very comfortable. Although we could here noises coming from the hall, it did eventually quiet down. Their breakfast was ok lots of high carb/ calorie packaged foods or items full of sugar. The breakfast area was crowded and I over heard lots of people complain about how they had no scrambled eggs. We would defiantly stay at the Hampton again if we travel to salisbury in the future.

This a very nice Hampton Inn. It is an easy minute off I-85 in an area with a good Mexican restaurant, BP and hibachi-style restaurant too. My room was neat, clean and very attractive. The dark wood furniture and styling was modern and neutral. Even the window treatment was pretty. There were recycling bins in the room and near the vending area. The usual breakfast was available and the yummy rotating waffle machine produced a delicious breakfast! The staff was friendly and I felt safe as a woman traveling alone. The workout room has 2 treadmills, an elliptical, a bike and weights. There was a small area on the floor to do some mat exercises too. Washing machines were available. I love that the Hampton Inn has great wi-fi and more expensive chains do not. All in all, I do not plan on going to Salisbury much, but if I had to travel for business here again, I would definitely stay here. One complaint was a dumpster truck emptying a dumpster at 430 AM!! This is not the Ritz, but for the money, I think it is a good choice.

Actually we stayed at the Hampton Inn twice within a week - once on our way down to Alabama and again on our way back. Truthfully we enjoyed the first night the best since we were put in a king suite. That room was not available on our return trip and we were put in a room with 2 double beds. The room was as lovely as the first, we just prefer a larger bed. Bonus for us was that they accept pets and our dachsund loved both rooms!

Both rooms were clean and well stocked - if I have any request at all it would be for not only the Hampton Inn but all motels to please, please provide tea bags as well as coffee packs in the rooms. We are not coffee drinkers so I learned long ago to bring tea bags with me but it would just be a nice touch if there were even a couple of tea bags!

The location was very nice - our room was quiet and the room darkening blinds were great. The complimentary breakfast offered a nice selection as well. We both felt that the Hampton Inn was one of the nicest motels we have stayed in - we just need to plan our schedule a little better next time so we can reserve the room with the king size bed! Great staff also - very pleasant.

Not to confuse anyone the "restaurant" rating below actually applied to the complimentary breakfast! Lots of good restaurants in close proximity though.
