“Great place to stay in a beautiful town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2013 via mobile

We stayed for 6 nights and had a great time with beautiful weather. The Chalet is an excellent base for enjoying the different aspects of Bright and surrounding area. It is within easy walking distance of the town, the art gallery (where the annual exhibition was on), the Ovens River where we saw a platypus every afternoon, and several other marked walks to tourist and historic sites. Bright has several bike tracks and the Chalet offers bike hire to explore areas beyond walking distance.
The Chalet offers a variety of room types and we had an upstairs room with a balcony, nice big room and bathroom with a spa. Our room gave us plenty of space to set out our gear and it was like home for the time we were staying. We had breakfast and dinner each day at the Chalet and enjoyed the variety and quality of the meals.
We had a great time time in Bright and will be back to the town and the Chalet. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and contributed to making our holiday enjoyable.

Just had the great pleasure of staying at the Bright Chalet for 4 days.
One word describes our stay....'Awesome'!!!!!!!
We were based at the Chalet on a Motorcycle Travel Event. Everything from the moment that we booked in to when we left was perfect.
Food, room, friendly staff always with a smile that couldn't do enough for you.
We will be back and I will certainly let everyone that I know, what a fabulous place it is to stay.

We stayed here after a beautiful drive along the Alpine Way. Our tariff of $205 included dinner and breakfast for two. The food was buffet style and the staff pleasant. The room decor (upstairs) was dated which was OK. The beds however were very bad with sagging mattresses (the springs could be felt) resulting in a lack of sleep.

Room Tip: Not upstairs on the left!

I went to Bright Chalet with a cycling group for five nights, and I really enjoyed it! The food was diverse and there was something new to try every night. The lasagne was amazing so I woudn't have needed anything else! The pool was fantastic after rides and we used the tennis courts, recreation room and ropes course as much as we could. Thank you to everyone there for such great service!

We have just returned from five wonderful days at the Bright Chalet, with a Probus group, we were picked up from our area, and taken back to Bright, stopping on the way. We were all greeted with friendly smiles, our room was on the ground floor, which was very comfy. Dinners at night were a home cooked meals, three courses if you wanted, cooked breakfasts as well. We were taken out daily in their bus to wonderful places, on the last night Michael and Family put on a wonderful concert with their instruments. All the staff were so friendly and ready for a little chat, it is a family run business, would definatly return. Popsie

Room Tip: A down stairs at the back, if the stairs are a problem

I have stayed at the Bright Chalet many times. I love it so much I just keep going back. The staff are all very friendly and go out of their way to accommodate us. The chefs cook up an amazing buffet with so much variety. There is something for everyone. The facilities at the Chalet are sensational. Everything form the dinning hall, bar, swimming pool, conference room, ropes course, tennis court are all maintained well and available to use. Everything you could want is on the property. We normally come up there for cycling trips and Michael and his team go out of their way to cater for us. However the Chalet is really well set up for a variety of holiday makers. The rooms are spacious, clean and serviced daily. I have previously stayed at other places in Bright, but after staying at the Bright Chalet, it is definitely the best place in town and I recommend it to all my friends.

I rencly stayed at the Bright chalet for some working comitments.
Michael and his family run an extremly inviting service, nothing was to hard for him and his family inorder for us to be comfy and happy.
The resturant was of high quality and great range. The bus service was excellent for work requirements. If your looking to stay in a affordable comfy location just a short drive from MT Hotham i would not hesitaite recommending the Bright Chalet.

Thanks Michael for making us feel so welcome and relaxed.
