“Great place to relax and unwind”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

Last weekend we had a great night in Bright staying in at the Bright Motor Inn which is beautifully located in the quiet end of town, walking distance to the shops restaurants and pubs and the Ovens River walking track is just a few metres away at the bottom of the garden. The motel is surrounded by spectacular flowering trees and shrubs which are really putting on a show at present.

The rooms are excellent, spacious and value for money. Our bathroom had been recently refurbished with modern fittings and the split system a/heating worked extremely well.

The new proprietors are very friendly and welcoming.

Room Tip: As the establishment is back from the road there is minimal traffic noise so all rooms are well loca...

Small motel with old but comfortable rooms. Clean linen and bathroom which is a must, and nice little garden out front and a swimming pool for warmer weather. Friendly owners. Free wifi is a bonus, along with DVDs for loan at the front desk. Owner turned on the heater so it was nice and warm by the time we arrived. Only issue would be the very very strong smell of bacon ??? from the previous tenant when we arrived which took the whole night to dissipate - we had to obtain air freshener from the local supermarket because it made us feel ill- it would have been good if this was addressed prior to our check in as well as it was a huge let down from what might have been an enjoyable stay. It's located close to the town where you can obtain groceries/ dine- centrally located to explore the surrounding area!

Great location, easy 15 minute walk into town, quiet and very friendly. Room was very spacious with an open fire and spa. Every morning the fire was clean out and set up ready and new bin full of wood at front door.

Room Tip: Book the delux room with open fire and spa.

Clean, quiet rooms with a lot of room in a 'lounge' area. Carparking is away from the rooms front door so we didn't hear any car doors slamming or even cars starting from the early risers. Friendly staff and a great little township.

We stayed over the Melbourne cup weekend 2012. just a short walk to the centre of town and just off the rd so we didnt hear any traffic and slept well at night. It wasnt the Shangri La but then we also werent paying hundreds of dollars a night. Our room was very clean, cosy, bed comfy and the room had everything we needed. The little kitchenette came in handy also.

The staff were very friendly and helpfull, giving us ideas on restaurants in town, activities to do in and around the area and nothing was to much for them.

we will be back because we know what we'll get. 5 out of 5 for us.

Pete

Upon an initial inquiry for accommodation at Bright we found over 40 venues and chose this one because of the claim of being the only 4-star (RACV) site. This is c-c-c-cold c-c-c-c-country in winter and after a day's travel in our warm car through the amazing Kiewa Valley to Mount Beauty then down the mountain to Bright we were ready for a good night's rest. We found that the motel does live up to its claim and the room we booked was a mini-apartment - good, clean, comfortable. A tip to the owners though...if you know that you have a booking secured why not heat up the room for their arrival? Give them a 'warm' welcome! We arrived to a very cold room and it took along time to warm up. This would be a very nice place to stay in the Summer - excellent pool and BBQ area. No restaurant but Bright itself has many to choose from and the owners actually offered to drop us off and pick us up...that's pretty good! We chose to drive and enjoyed a very good meal at the nearby hotel bistro.

Room Tip: It was a very cold, very wet night on our arrival - if you visit in winter phone ahead and request o...

First impressions of this motel were unfortunately not good, as the pathways outside the rooms were dirty and the screen door needs attention.

However, the room iitself was OK, nothing special, but a bit dark and dreary. Could also do with a good breath of fresh air.

The amenities were good and the large and free laundry was so very welcome and very much appreciated.

Owners were friendly.
