“Loved the firepot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

Cold and wet but the firepot saved the night. Tasty tapas style food in little brown bowls. Could walk back to where we stayed was a plus.

“Best venue in bright”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013 via mobile

Nearly called the owner to throttle him when I found out it was closed on Tuesday (opening tues-sun from next week) had to eat at blackbird, never again.
Two days running had maple bacon (AMAZING) great coffees all the staff are fantastic with my two year old. Coffee's are the best in town and at under $17 for a breakfast, for triple smoked bacon, is a huge bargain for me. I can taste the quality and go home dreaming of ginger baker. What a little piece of heaven

“Poor value for money and slow service.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013 via mobile

We were overly disappointed with our breakfasts which we have decided must be indictive of the direction that Bright is heading. Complacent of customer satisfaction.
Our scrambled eggs was delicious but the added extra of bacon was to put it mildly. Pathetic! My 6 year old would of asked for more if that was a kids serving size!
One of us had to wait 10minutes after we had all finished our breakfast before they received their meal and that was after questioning
I think it's back to the Blackbird Cafe for us next time! Promptness, real service and realistic prices and serving sizes.

“Tasty Tapas, great service and cosy atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

We dropped in to the Ginger Baker for lunch on a weekend trip to Bright as it looked so warm and inviting. And it was! The service was friendly and the staff helpful and happy, the garden location by the river relaxing and the food was divine. It was a tapas menu from which we selected the Braised goat, Brussel Sprouts with Bacon, and Chorizo with squid. All dishes were cooked perfectly, particularly the goat which was melt-in-your-mouth fantastic! Loved the whole package and would recommend this to anyone visiting the area.

“Good spot for lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013

My husband and I dropped by for lunch and the food was delicious and the service quick and friendly. I will definitely come back again.

The dishes we had, and really enjoyed, were the deep friend white bait, the salad of pear, rocket, hazelnut and Milawa blue cheese, and the braised goat. All dishes were presented beautifully in terracotta dishes to share.
